Jerkass Has a Point: Lena was apathetic to learn about Poe De Spell, her abusive aunt's brother, and his fate of being permanently turned into a non-sapient crow and lost. When Scrooge tries to apologize to Lena, she told him that she didn’t know the guy and if he was anything like her aunt Magica De Spell he did her a solid. While Lena does sound callous, she's right that she doesn’t know him, and since Poe was no better than his sister, being willing to use his magic to enslave villages to exploit them for treasure, there’s no guarantee he would have treated her better then Magica did. | |

My Greatest Failure: It’s very clear that Scrooge McDuck very much regrets how callous he was in accidentally turning Poe De Spell into a non-sapient crow and doing nothing to help him. When Lena asks if Scrooge ever searched for Poe, Scrooge shamefully admits no and asks if she'd like for him to search for Poe, which Lena rejects him doing for her. Scrooge has a bigger one for how his actions led to Magica De Spell creating Lena and abusing her. When Lena, angry, rejected the idea that Magica could have loved her had Poe been around, Scrooge hugs her and tearfully apologizes to her. When Lena assures Scrooge that Poe probably was ok, Scrooge explains that he feels guilty for pushing Magica to a darker path that caused her to create Lena, who Magica took all her pain and anger out on because his pride wouldn’t let him see what his enemies could do. Lena assures him that Magica's actions weren’t his fault, that she doesn’t regret being created because of all the good times she had with Scrooge and his family, and Lena thanks him for what he’s done to help her. | |

Freudian Excuse Is No Excuse: Scrooge McDuck had wondered if Magica De Spell had created Lena to gain a family to replace her brother Poe De Spell who was permanently turned into a non-sapient crow and lost. Lena points out that she was created to use against him and that she was the one that started calling Magica aunt. Magica just gave up stopping Lena from calling her aunt and let her call her that for the sake of keeping Lena under control after she became sentient. But when Scrooge suggested that the reason that Magica couldn’t love Lena because of what happened to Poe, Lena angrily rejected the notion that Magica could have loved her, with or without Poe, saying that all she was to Magica was her magical failure. Scrooge tearfully apologizes to Lena for putting Magica on a darker path, leading to her creating Lena and abusing her. Lena assured Scrooge that she doesn’t regret being made, and Magica's actions weren’t his fault because Magica forged her own path, and whatever she does isn’t his fault. | |
