Airachnid), as she is the only survivor of the Institute after Shockwave got the go-ahead to get rid of it, and proves it again by easily curbstomping her after she reveals that she was involved in Nominus Prime's death via holographic clones of himself that only have before been mentioned in the Production Bible for G1 and Transformers: Devastation. Bludgeon shares this status with Shockwave thanks to his interest in dark magic and forbidden technology from the days of Solomus Prime's reign as the Liege Maximo, to the point that everyone has blamed him for a variety of real and imagined crimes. Keep in mind that he was the nicest out of the Pretenders from that era, which means that compared to his now long dead former comrades, this guy is practically a saint. | |

Foreshadowing: There are several hints throughout the story that point to Leobreaker actually being Shockwave in disguise. He has several moments where he pauses when he's about to say a certain word, then switches it to something else, as it would immediately tip the reader off if he overused that particular word (or several variants of it). His Cyber Key Power does not take the form of Wolverine Claws like his original counterpart, but takes the form of a Wave-Motion Gun, which is another hint towards his actual identity. He's also transfixed by the concept of taming Driller Worms. The only continuity that he's existed in is also the continuity that he's also the upgraded form of Trailbreaker (his original name before it was changed to Overhaul), and Trailbreaker is also on the expedition as a separate character. In Spotlight 5 Part 1, Orion Pax comes to Atmosburn's Ener-Soup Kitchen with his friends Dion and Ariel, having freshly returned from Prysmos where he had liberated a mining camp full of child slaves and held a vault closed to shield them from Sentinel and Dragotron's collateral damage. Seeing his scuff marks, Atmosburn gives him his old mouthplate, which makes Orion feel a bit more complete in some way, and Dion mentions that Catalysis is holding a public rally and projects the Autobot Sigil that catches Orion's interest in a big way. Apparently, the rumor of him surgically removing his emotional subroutines via the Shadowplay Protocols in order to think in pure logic was just that, a rumor. He says that while it's theoretically possible to rewire one's processor entirely for logic, it would put extra strain on one's primary processor, simplify one's thoughts, and attempting the procedure on oneself would be incredibly reckless. His logical personality is purely due to meditation and mental discipline. A first-generation Shadowplay subject tried traveling back in time to prove that religion was the cause of Cybertron's ills, which is a none-too-subtle jab at IDW Shockwave's temporal shenanigans after the events of Dark Cybertron. According to Shockwave, all the idiot managed to do was construct a molecular disintegrator that disassembled half his chassis, and Shockwave had to euthanize the rest of him before he could "rejoin his other half in the distant past". | |

The TEKTRON crew are expies of Avalanche, including Caliber, a Religious Bruiser with an Arm Cannon, Heartlock, a brawling femme, and Nimbus, an ex-Seeker mercenary with a BFS. Also, Airachnid's attempted assassination of Catalysis Prime is a recreation of Aerith's iconic death. The Sons of Kaon is an expy of the Sons of Korhal. When Thunderwing goes after Six-of-Twelve, he informs the bot that "offline or active, you're coming with me". The origin of the Microns is based on the origin of the Dwarf race from The Lord of the Rings. | |

Seeing his scuff marks, Atmosburn gives him his old mouthplate, which makes Orion feel a bit more complete in some way, and Dion mentions that Catalysis is holding a public rally and projects the Autobot Sigil that catches Orion's interest in a big way. All in all, there's a lot of hints that out of the Expy Coexistence of all the Optimi around, Orion Pax might be the one to become Optimus Prime. | |
