 Unholyverse is a My Chemical Romance Alternate Universe Slash Fic series by Bexless originally written between June 2008 and September 2009, and later republished on Archive of Our Own in 2011. It consists of three works: I Have Been All Things Unholy, Staring Through the Demons, and Heaven Help Us, as well as two small codas: During Working Hours and Turning Point.Advertisement:propertag.cmd.push(function() { proper_display('tvtropes_mobile_ad_1'); })The series is a supernatural-oriented What If? centering primarily around the lives of barber Ray Toro, piercer Frank Iero, and receptionist Mikey Way, who have their lives quickly turned upside-down when Frank receives a beautiful angel tattoo on a whim from an odd little shop, and Mikey's older brother Gerard comes back into town, on a short vacation from his work as a traveling priest sent to observe reports of miracles across the world. And when Frank begins to start experiencing some rather painful miracles of his own, well...Things start to get a bit complicated, to say the least.

 Adult Fear: Absolute loads of it, considering that it is a supernatural-themed fic with fairly heavy horror elements. Frank's stigmata, and how it impacts both him and his friends. For Mikey, he gets to watch one of his best friends repeatedly wind up with injuries inflicted by invisible forces so bad that his back tattoos wind up shredded and nearly the entire room winds up covered in Frank's blood by the end of one instance of it, and for the rest of the group, the first instance of it that they see is so bad that they initially think it's a suicide attempt. Imagine how terrifying it must have been for everyone involved to arrive in their best friend's apartment after he was just put on leave from his job (especially when one friend was directly responsible for said leave) to find him bleeding out from his wrists on his bathroom floor.  After Gerard's death, Mikey nearly completely breaks down over the thought of having to break the news of it to his mother, especially considering that she's far enough away from the group's location at the time that it's very likely that he'll be forced to do it over the phone as well. However, it doesn't remain a problem for very long...
