Dark Waters is a 1944 Psychological Thriller film directed by André De Toth, starring Merle Oberon, Franchot Tone, Thomas Mitchell, Fay Bainter, Elisha Cook Jr. and John Qualen.Having survived the German U-Boat attack which took the lives of her parents, Leslie Calvin (Oberon) arranges to live with her Uncle Norbert and Aunt Emily on their Louisiana plantation. But Leslie eventually comes to realize that the people claiming to be her relatives are not who they say they are.
