His Kind Of Woman	comment	His Kind Of Woman is a thriller starring Robert Mitchum, Jane Russell, and Vincent Price. It starts out seeming like a typical film noir, but ends up turning into a much more comedic action-adventure. The protagonist of the film is Dan Milner (Mitchum), a professional gambler who is hired for a mysterious job at a resort in Mexico. At the resort, he meets the beautiful and apparently wealthy Lenore (Russell), and falls in love with her, before discovering she is already in a relationship with actor Mark Cardigan (Price). As it turns out, Milner has been lured to the resort so the Mafia can kidnap him: a mob boss is trying to get into America from Italy, and intends to get plastic surgery to disguise himself as Milner in order to do so. Mark Cardigan, desperate to be a hero, sets out on a rescue mission...The film was in fact initially written as a straight film noir, but Howard Hughes (the producer) demanded more comedy, more action, and more Vincent Price — leading to Mark Cardigan practically taking over the second half of the film and becoming a comedic action hero instead of simply the comic relief.
