CIA Agent Gary Redner (Lapis), who is the brother of the deceased diplomat, volunteers for the case, but against his will, he is paired with Inspector Lee Ting-bong (Danny Lee) of the Royal Hong Kong police.  Bar Brawl: Subverted, after the arrest goes badly, Redner decides to take a drink in a local bar to unwind himself, only to find Inspector Bong already there. One thing leads to another, but the bar’s owner shouts at them that if they’re going to fight, "don’t" do it in his bar. So Bong and Redner took the fight outside instead, with hordes of nosy onlookers and patrons following them to watch the fun.
