Throughout its life, Twitch Plays Pokémon has spawned hilarious characters, memorable moments, and even a few religions.Twitch Plays Pokémon Renegade Platinum is the second run of the stream's eighth season; it began on April 10th, 2021 and ended on April 21st, 2021. It features a hack of Pokémon Platinum created by Drayano60, the same person behind Blaze Black 2, Storm Silver, Volt White, and Rising Ruby, all of which were previously played on the stream. As usual, it features higher difficulty, revamped stats and movesets, new types for certain Pokémon, and the ability to obtain all 493 species without trading.Advertisement:propertag.cmd.push(function() { proper_display('tvtropes_mobile_ad_2'); })This run featured a male Host named Kr (with a space at the end), who assembled an M-Team of Magcargo, Meganium, Metagross, Manaphy, Infernape (nicknamed "MONKE"), and Rotom (aka "Motor" backwards). He notably used his Red Chain to fish for Legendary Pokémon through dimensional portals, and spent a lot of time drawing on his Pokétch thanks to newly implemented touchscreen inputs that allowed players to draw Bézier curves.
