What is Goodfae? What does it matter to you, wiseguy? You think you're funny? You better beat it before I decide to take you out with this week's trash. And I don't wanna hear nothing about you squealing to the cops or else they're gonna find you sleeping with the fishes, capische?... Oh, alright.Goodfae is a web serial novel (written by k0spam) about the mafia. Simple, right? Well, actually not so much. Not once you throw fairies, ghosts, gods and monsters into the mix with mobsters and magic. The world of Goodfae is about as far from peaceful as you can get (even in New York!), much like the life of its protagonist, Alfonso Anastasio; a mafioso and newly made man trying to make ends meet to support his bedridden sister. Just like everyone else in the great city of New York, New York, Al wakes up everyday just so he can go to work nine to five and bring home the bread. Unlike other people, Al’s work involves extortion and violent gang warfare alongside the likes of warlock Marquis Allesandri and his crew of vampires, demigods, and changelings. Hey, some people file tax returns, some people file bullets. With the Allesandri family and their capo backing Alfonso and his sister, is he going to walk the road of gold and roses, or is his life and the lives of everyone around him about to become a lot more complicated?Advertisement:propertag.cmd.push(function() { proper_display('tvtropes_mobile_ad_1'); })Goodfae updates once to twice a week, Mondays through Fridays. Arcs will generally be split into seven to fifteen 2500-3000 word chapters a piece, with one or two bonus interludes (sidestories). Due to the nature of the subject material and content, Goodfae is liable to be very dark at times, and not for everyone. Sensitive readers are advised to treat this as a very trigger-heavy work, and should make the decision to read it or not accordingly.Advertisement:propertag.cmd.push(function() { proper_display('tvtropes_mobile_ad_2'); }) This series provides examples of: | |
