The Roman Robo Anime Climax Selection (マジックボックス ロマンロボアニメクライマックスセレクション) is a 1980s supplementary guide to the Robot Romance Trilogy. It was co-authored by Tadao Nagahama, Akihiro Kanayama, Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, Nobuyoshi Sasakado and Kei Iizima.It contains behind-the-scenes information, concept art, trivia, animation frames, character sketches, director commentary and other miscellaneous information related to the three anime of the trilogy, Combattler V, Voltes V and Daimos.For tropes related to it's parent series, see the Robot Romance Trilogy, or the individual pages related to its anime.If you're wondering where the name "Roman Robo" comes from - it's due to the taiga-drama style of the shows incorporated by director Nagahama. | |

All There in the Manual: The book is the "manual", in this case. Combattler V Chizuru's three sizes are B84-W60-Height unknown. Voltes V: Kenichi's birthday is June 22 and Ippei's is November 24. Daijiro's is November 18, Hiyoshi's is October 20 and Megumi's is May 17. Heinel's birthday is February 2, and Katherine's birthday is May 1. Kenichi is 18, Ippei is 18, Daijiro is 17, Hiyoshi is 10 and Megumi is 16. Heinel is 18 years old, and Katherine is 20. Professor Hamaguchi is Ippei's maternal grandfather. He also has a dislike for sea cucumber. Professor Hamaguchi was Mitsuyo Go's college teacher during her school days. Katherine's mother was Heinel's wet nurse/nanny. After Heinel's maternal grandparents died, the Rii family raised him alongside Katherine. The two became friends when as young children, Katherine saw Heinel being bullied and felt protective of him. Daimos: Richter is 19 years old. Miwa is 65 years old. Margarete is Erika and Richter's governess and educator. Raiza has a battle suit like Richter. | |
