After a government courier carrying important data is murdered, Hemlock is hired to find the murderers and "sanction" them (i.e. contract assassination for those who kill American agents).The first target is easily found and dispatched in Montreal. The second, however, requires him to join a group of climbers attempting to scale the north face of the Eiger in the Swiss Alps.
