It's implied something bad/dirty happened, but then during/after the credits, it's revealed that the thing that audience were led to believe didn't actually happen, and something considerably lighter happened instead.
The purpose of leaving the reveal to the very end is to leave the audience surprised for as long as possible.
A subtrope of Bait-and-Switch. Compare Superdickery, Brick Joke, and To Be Continued ... Right Now.

Pokémon The 'Bridged Series: In Episode 8, "Sticky," Brock reminisces about a time he was breeding two Vulpix. "But it wasn't going well, so I took a rubber hose and jammed it-'' Cut to Damien. After the credits, we hear the rest of the story in question: he jammed the rubber hose with a pen to unclog it, watered the flowers, then enjoyed Thanksgiving with his family while the pair of Vulpix played outside. Subverted when he pauses then adds that he murdered both Vulpix, made love to the carcasses, and buried them in the back yard.

In Phineas and Ferb Christmas Vacation!, Perry places a magic top hat on a snowman (with a carrot nose), who comes to life and tells Perry to follow him, and he waltzes into the road... then someone yells "PLOW!" offscreen before a loud crash is heard and a carrot flies onscreen and lands in Perry's hands. At the end of the credits, it turns out that the plow crashed into a vegetable stand (hence the flying carrot) and the snowman is perfectly fine.

The Angry Video Game Nerd: In the "Nintendo World Championships" episode, The Nerd ends up destroying two of the titular cartridges, despite their extreme rarity, due to frustration at how disappointing he finds the actual gameplay. Post-credits, it's revealed James, the Nerd's portrayer, destroyed different games for the sake of the episode and that the Championship cartridges were safe and sound.
