Slade: "How Does It Feel?" is all about what the rise and fall of rock stardom feels like, from the first performances, to the "imperial phase" to becoming forgotten has-beens. It was the main theme to Slade In Flame, a film which cast the band as a fictional rock group called Flame, and has been described as one of the most cynical films about rock music ever made. By contrast, "Far Far Away", the other single from the film, is a much happier song about how being a rock star means that you get to see all the most famous parts of the world. |
