Advertisement:propertag.cmd.push(function() { proper_display('tvtropes_mobile_ad_1'); })Usually when we hear loud noises in real life, the worst thing we have to deal with as a consequence is hearing loss. In fiction however, loud noises often are capable of causing damage not unlike an earthquake, or in more comical instances, blowing a person off their feet.
Subtrope of Make Some Noise. Can lead to a Barrier-Busting Blow. Compare Make Me Wanna Shout for more vocal instances, especially those involving yelling and singing, Shockwave Clap when it involves clapping, and Gale-Force Sound for a less destructive version.

Talespin: The focus of the two parter episode "For Whom The Bell Klangs" is finding the lost city of Tennabulan. A music based society, the city houses a powerful harmonic weapon that can destroy a target with soundwaves. It also has a gigantic master bell that, when rung, causes the city to collapse into the desert, a failsafe to keep the weapon out of the wrong hands.

The Simpsons:
In "The War of Lisa Simpson", Bart is on a field trip to the police station. While there, he takes all the bullhorns, stacks them end to end, and shouts "Testing!" through them. This causes a soundwave so powerful it shatters glass all across town.
In "Burns's Heir", while watching a movie, the THX Deep Note plays, causing the theater walls to crack, Hans Moleman's glasses to break, and a man's head to explode. After it finishes, the audience applauds and cheers, with Abe Simpson yelling "TURN IT UP! TURN IT UP!"

Horton Hears a Who! has the climactic moment when all the residents of Whoville generate enough noise to permeate the dust mote's membrane, and be heard by the normal-sized denizens outside. In a subversion, the tipping point comes from a tiny child Who, who gives a "yop" that finally fractures the dust mote.

In Motherland: Fort Salem, witches derive their powers from their voices, with their voices causing different effects based on pitch and volume. One episode sees Tally Craven managing to punch a hole in a metal sheet with a mere shout.

Pokémon has a variety of sound based moves, some of which fall into the Brown Note category, but some of them produce genuine concussive force, with Boomburst being almost as powerful as a Hyper Beam.

The Futurama episode "Game of Tones" has Earth subject to sonic shockwaves emanating from a Nibblonian spaceship. The noise is so loud it crumbles infrastructure and destroys buildings. It turns out the noise is coming from a key fob and the Nibblonians are looking for a misplaced spaceship which they left behind in 1999.

Tiny Toon Adventures: In "How I Spent My Summer Vacation", the movie theater audience is subjected to a THX Deep Note parody called THUD. It's strong enough to blow many people out of their seats. When it concludes, the follow up tagline reads "The Audience Is Now Deaf."

Pretty much any music related scenes in Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, but most notably the bass battle between Scott and Todd Ingram, when Todd ends the battle by strumming a chord hard enough to knock Scott back through multiple walls.

Family Guy: While camped out in a motel, the Griffin family watches CBS, with the tagline, "The loudest channel on TV". Sure enough, the volume is so loud, it causes the room to shake, Chris's ears start to bleed, Stewie is blown back into the bed, Meg loses her hat and has to grab the floor to prevent being blown back, and Peter admits he's browning out.

The Spongebob Squarepants episode "Band Geeks" has Squidward tell his marching band that the key to being good is to play really loud. That approach backfires as the opening note blows out the windows of the community center, and blows Squidward's face far back behind him.
