Bob defeats John in a fight. To bask in his victory, as well as to rub it in, he puts one of his feet on John's chest and assumes a Victory Pose.
This trope applies whenever one character has defeated another and proceeds to place their foot on a part of their body as part of their Victory Pose. Other parts of the Victory Pose can include raising their fists into the sky, lean on the leg they're using to pose on the defeated or simply looking down at them with a pleased expression on their face.
Note that this is usually not done to cause the defeated physical harm but rather to show dominance and humiliate them further. It is also not uncommon that the defeated is already unconscious or close to unconsciousness when this is done. It also doesn't have to be malicious in nature and can be done after a round of friendly sparring to tease the opponent a bit. Still, it can be seen as a form of Unsportsmanlike Gloating.
It is most commonly found in Superhero-media, where both heroes and villains engage in it, but can also occur in other forms of media, as well.
It might be preceded by a Finishing Stomp.
Sub-Trope of Victory Pose. Compare Cruelty by Feet when a character stomps on another with the intention of causing harm or death, Captain Morgan Pose, which can look similar but is only done on objects, as well as Atop a Mountain of Corpses, where the character stands or sits on multiple enemies who may or may not be dead. Contrast Hoist Hero over Head where someone, usually a hero, is lifted into the air after being defeated to show the strength of the winner, usually a villain.
Please note that this trope does not include a hunter posing on a killed animal. Rather, it is solely about a person posing on a defeated person.

The Garfield fanart, "The Forgiveness of Jon", depicts Jon Arbuckle as an angel with his foot on the demonic Eldritch Abomination Garfield's back, forgiving Garfield for his evil even as he finally kills him and sends him to Hell. Super Eyepatch Wolf noted that despite the work's parodic nature, he actually got emotional looking at it.

Disney Ducks Comic Universe: In the Danish Donald Duck comic The Saga Of Donald Ironbeak, the titular hero, a Viking version of Donald, is challenged to a battle during a thunderstorm by the chief of the Patonkas, a fictional Native American tribe, after Donald refused to marry his daughter. Donald tricks the chief into taking his metal armor. When the chief raises his tomahawk, he gets struck by lightning as a result, giving Donald the win. Donald then assumes a victory pose with one foot on the stomach of the chief, claiming the lightning was part of a secret weapon he has.

The season 4 episode "Zenith and Abyss" of Young Justice (2010) provides two examples: The first example comes after Nightwing, Artemis, Zatanna, Rocket and Aqualad fought and were subsequently defeated by Zod's forces. In the aftermath, an unnamed Kryptonian poses on the chest of the unconscious Nightwing. The second example comes at the end of the episode when Zod's future son Lor introduces himself to his parents after freeing them from the Phantom Zone posing on the chest of the defeated Kid Flash while doing so.
