Elizabeth Eden Harris, known professionally by her stage name CupcakKe, is an American hip hop recording artist from Chicago, born on May 31, 1997.She is best known for her crassly sexual songs, which often take on a humorous quality due to how explicit and absurd the imagery in her lyrics is. However, she's just as prompt to rap about homelessness, gun violence or social rights (she's made several famous pro-LGBTQ songs, as well as one of very few prominent rap songs in support of the autistic community), demonstrating remarkable lyrical dexterity and rap skills regardless of the subject matter. Even so, she embraces her hyper-sexual reputation, having nicknamed her fans "the slurpers".Raised by a single mother, CupcakKe spent nearly four years in Chicago’s homeless shelters starting at age seven. When she was thirteen years old, she was encouraged to turn her church poetry into rap lyrics and developed an interest in releasing music.Her first music video, "Gold Digger", was released on her official YouTube channel in August 2012 (when she was only 14) and quickly went viral. Several of her ensuing releases went viral as well, with her most notorious viral hits being "Deepthroat", "Vagina", and "CPR", the lattermost of which experienced a memetic renaissance on TikTok several years after its release.Her first mixtape, Cum Cake, was released in 2016, followed by STD (Shelters to Deltas) the same year. She has since released four albums: Audacious (2016), Queen Elizabitch (2017), Ephorize (2018), and Eden (2018). Her most recent releases have all been non-album singles, most notably "Discounts", which earned her her very first #1 on iTunes (as well as making her the first independent black female rapper to achieve that distinction).
