Nu Virgos (or ВИ� Гра, as better known domestically) is Ukrainian Girl Group created in 2000 by Dmytro Kostyuk and Konstantin Meladze on the height of girls band wave. Its first lineup consisted of Alyona Vynnytska and Nadezda Granovskaya-Meykher. But the band became really notable in 2003 when, after years of lineup changes and Troubled Production, the group released an album named "Stop! Stop! Stop!" with lineup consisting of Nadezhda Granovskaya, Anna Sedokova and Vera Brezhneva. This album became a huge success both in Russia and overseas (especially in Asia), with Nu Virgos becoming one of the synonims to girl's band in Russian-speaking countries. However, after Anna Sedokova left the band in early 2004, Nu Virgos fell in Troubled Production territory again (despite still being very successful). After that, Nu Virgos were disbanded by Konstantin Meladze in 2012... only to be resurrected via Talent Show next year. The first new line-up consisted of Erika Herzeg, Anastasiya Kozhevnikova and Misha Romanova. | |
