Trippie Redd (born Michael Lamar White IV on June 18, 1999) is a rapper and singer from Canton, Ohio. Growing up, White always had a passion for music, stating in an interview that he recorded his first song when he was 10 years old. After losing his brother when in a car accident when he was 14, White saw that as a chance to start seriously perusing music to honor his brother, who did music before his passing.White released his first mixtape in 2016, but it wouldn't be until 2017 after he dropped "A Love Letter To You" where he would start to accumulate buzz, and start working with acts such as Music/6ix9ine, XXXTentacion, Famous Dex, Diplo, Travis Scott and more. On August 10th, 2018, White released his debut album, "Life's A Trip", which debuted at #4 on the Billboard 200. | |
