Vanishing World is a dark fantasy song series created by Vocaloid producer Monstrosity, and is the 4th part of their series Kenopsia. The series features creatures known as "Vani" who regard existence as suffering and plan to wipe out all life as a mercy act before dying themselves. Earth happens to be their target in this instance, and it's up to humanity to work together and defend themselves from this apocalyptic threat. But that's not the only thing humanity has to deal with; a mysterious and widespread phenomenon- dubbed Monsterization- in which humans transform into monsters creatures has also been further plunging society into chaos.Advertisement:propertag.cmd.push(function() { proper_display('tvtropes_mobile_ad_1'); })There is one hope for humanity, however: Zone-B, an organization dedicated to combating the Vani threat, with assistance from the Omni, a bird-like alien species also fighting against the Vani. The series is centered around Madeline Karazell, better known by her codename Null, the main protagonist and Zone-B member tasked with fighting the Vani directly.Due to the lore of this series constantly changing and being updated, information on this page may be outdated.Advertisement:propertag.cmd.push(function() { proper_display('tvtropes_mobile_ad_2'); })Tracklist:

Magical Camera: The Tundra Lens, the Makeshift Machine used by Morzogo and Mavra, takes the form of a camera that turns whoever is caught in one of its photos into stone, as well, as turn the landscape captured into a frozen wasteland. The only way to undo the effects of the Tundra Lens is to burn the photos.

Elemental Powers: Most creatures can wield magic based off one of 39 semblaNote There is a 40th sembla, but very little is known about it and is not known to have any users., or an aspect of the universe. Many sembla represent classic fantasy elements like fire, ice, plants, and electricty, but there are also more unconventional elements like Thread, Ink, Flesh, Plastic, and Wonder. Vani can only wield 1 sembla, while humans can wield up to 2.

Body Horror | |
Vanishing World (Music) / int_504a1991 | comment |
Body Horror: And how! Monsterization leads to lots of this, as it tends to do lovely things like tear a person's skin and organs asunder and destroy their skeletal structure before rebuilding it anew. Special mention goes to Ganymede's transformation, which involves her monster form's head bursting out of her human form's. No wonder the pain drives newly-transformed humons into an Unstoppable Rage! Faunaflora are the result of Xelzerin and Kaylee's Makeshift Machine, the Faunaflora Reactor, forcibly fusing plants, animals, and insects together. Near the end of Perennial Crisis, Kaylee attempts to make herself one by fusing herself with her own dad. Arthur manages to escape in time, but the process still Monsterizes Kaylee. Vauluktreal, a living lake made up of several tortured Vani bodies and corpses, including 18 (Luktreal included) of the Earth Invasion Team.

Vanishing World (Music) / int_a8a04f6f | comment |
And I Must Scream:The 17 Vani trapped within Vauluktreal are considered neither alive nor dead. They cannot physically do anything or act on their own, but their minds are still aware enough to at least feel immense amounts of pain.People turned to stone by the Tundra Lens don't immediately die; the picture that features them has to be shredded before their fate is sealed. And based on what Mavra goes through in this comic, victims appear to be aware that they're stuck in place and unable to do anything about it.
