Jekyll & Hyde: Revealed to be this manner by Reak in the sequel of Darkest Measures, where a fatal lab accident caused a horrible split between his positive and negative personality, said negative being the cruel personality we've seen of Reak in Darkest Measures. Nitro discovers this for himself when he uncovers an audio tape documenting this, confirming that Reak genuinely doesn't remember anything he did in Darkest Measures.

Pay Evil unto Evil: AE!Luis, after suffering a lot of abuse at the hands of his father and brother, eventually snapped and burned his entire village down, claiming their lives as well as those of innocents. Of these innocents, Coral is the only one to make it out alive, thanks to intervention from Nitro. Subverted for Curse. Even with everything he had been through leading up to More than One Universe, he wasn’t going to willingly cause harm to others in return. Nitro himself does this to Seak as payback for him attempting to torment Galvin AND MC into following his twisted ideals, by tearing his entire purgatory down to rubble. Nitro isn’t even phased by Seak warning him about the consequences of his action, following it up with a "The Reason You Suck" Speech and leaving him to fix things up alone as punishment.

Papa Wolf: Beefhan is generally chill and very friendly, if not slightly clumsy thanks to the grease from his burgers, but he won’t tolerate villains laying harm to Joilean, his adopted daughter, meaning they’d better leave her be if he’s around, lest they suffer a frying pan to the head alongside his wrath. Rexford, upon hearing about how long Keyan was held in Area 51 for, doesn’t hesitate to stand up for the kid, seeing him as much more than just some “anomaly”, and goes as far as to warn the staff that he will back out on their deal of confidentiality unless they square up and are more respectful of Keyan’s rights.

No-Holds-Barred Beatdown: By the end of The Final Showdown, SoniKiller is undeniably furious, and right after throwing Nitro into London (therefore temporarily leaving him without his powers), he doesn’t hesitate to brutally bash Nitro down, forcing the latter to take cover until he finds the courage to continue fighting again. Error_Code/BetaBrian also does this on Neo at the end of The Lost Games Season 4, tearing off Neo’s arms and breaking his knee. It’s a miracle that even that isn’t enough to stop Neo from forcing a reset of the whole game and booting Error out, however, and the reset instantly heals his wounds.

Mythology Gag: At the end of Doki Doki Takeover!’s main story mode, Monika asks Benjamin and Grace if there’s a way to get her and the others out of the game. Come The Cursed Engine, and they indeed find a way to get them out for good. After the revival of Oldum77’s Toy Story cast, the LGMs that were hanging from the ceiling quickly dropped down to the ground. Mr. Potato Head managed to catch them, however, leading to their eternal gratitude, as per Toy Story 2 onwards. In turn, once O77!Sonic and the girls fend off some of Puhoi’s other servants, he’s able to apologise to O77!Amy sincerely for the outburst from back in The .EXE Saga: Reanimated, even admitting that it was caused by Respiro subjecting him to Mind Rape and that he would definitely be sincere with his reciprocated feelings.

Properly Paranoid: While Frisk, Chara and Amber awaited their food order in Night Shift at Freddy’s, they caught sight of Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck taking their own order, Daffy himself not too fond of the idea of a pineapple pizza. Bugs even mentions offhandedly about Afton while chatting with Chara about the night guard job vacancies, wary of the possibility he escaped the old Mega Pizzaplex. Daffy himself is understandably sketchy about the pizzeria, considering what happened in the other places.

Surprisingly Realistic Outcome
 Errorverse: Tropes J-S (Roleplay) / int_3ed23024
comment
Surprisingly Realistic Outcome: The pain of allergies is played straight in the Errorverse, which IW!Luis finds out as a result of his allergy of eggs following eating some chocolate cake for the first time. In the Area 15 AU, following the Ink Demon’s demise, the conspiracies of Area 51 are fully ratted out, giving employees their motion to find work elsewhere, and the base completely shut its doors the following month. As it turns out, due to the dark subject matter Hameln Entertainment put into Amanda the Adventurer, unsurprisingly, GBC did NOT give it the go-ahead to broadcast on Pre-GBC for the safety of the younger demographic. It had only broadcasted the live-action counterpart prior to everything that happened, and broadcasted the show’s renewal following the downfall of both Hanelm Entertainment and the Entity. Yishu has been known to consume ink out of vials to feel emotions, similar to what Ink does. However, compared to Ink!Sans, who’s a skeleton, and IW!Luis, who is sentient ink in a human body, Yishu is still human, so the consumption of ink turns out to not be good for his organs or physical health. Fortunately, a cure was found for the illness. The negative effects of drinking alcohol and smoking do not go ignored in the Errorverse, and it’s the former that ends up costing Tila, River’s mother, her life. This case is subverted for Abodant/Arbiter and Swap!Papyrus, though, as they lack any organs to be damaged by such activities, due to them being a living toy/HATE-infused shell and a skeleton respectively. MCGamer has been shown to utilise Black Comedy quite a lot, his favourite jokes revolving around AE!Luis’s deceased mother. However, AE!Luis does catch wind of this and is upset by it, these jokes breaking any trust he could’ve had with him and Benjamin.

He grows to love both of them as family with time as well. Vivienne becomes one to FC!Tinsley during New Guest, the latter looking up to her like a motherly figure. Jerk with a Heart of Gold: While Rian is a bit of a troublemaker and a jock-like jerk, he genuinely cares for his siblings and companions and doesn’t take nicely to anyone hurting them, which is demonstrated by him calling out IRL Luis in Executable Revamp prior to joining the SMGs. And while his methods to stand up for his siblings can get a bit over-the-top, he’s still well-meaning overall. He also shows sympathy towards his companions, just like when Nitro, IRL Lean and the others were talking sadly to IRL Luis on why he refused to get out of his room or let them inside to talk.

Karma Houdini Warranty: Simply put, criminals definitely do NOT get away with their misdeeds in the Errorverse, and are ratted out once action is taken. To name a few (a lot of which happened within a small period of time): The Fazbear Entertainment CEO that took over from Afton and Henry was arrested for his callous misdeeds (like lying about deceased night guards and children and refusing to take responsibility for incidents) following Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach (and its Ruin DLC), a new one taking his place to ensure these truths come to light while the company is refreshed to be a lot better in general. In More than One Universe, Monika called the authorities about Corrupt’s ex-army’s crimes of organ trafficking and child abuse, which gets them all arrested and sentenced. This ended up tying back to Hameln Entertainment for the part they played in Corrupt’s (or rather, Ginger’s) demise in a sub-story. In the Alone Together timeline, the scientists that cruelly experimented on Luis_PL were arrested on the charges of child abuse after the heroes manage to escape to the OMEGA Universe. In Christmas Festival, Frank Fairest AND Marilyn Mairest are quickly arrested after the Dearests and Mikus call them out for child abuse and manipulation. In Wrath of the Warlord, Lord Brevon gets his just desserts at the hands of Lilac, being well and truly Killed Off for Real TWICE. In his case, he had it coming for screwing her over one too many times.

As a result of Puhoi’s attempted apocalypse in Project: MCGAMEJOLTER.bin, Lost Hero!Benjamin decides to resort to having him and his allies use a Time Stone to warp back to around a couple of hours before the ritual’s events and not only prevent it from happening entirely, but also tying up any loose ends some of the warriors hadn’t yet resolved up to that point. Small Role, Big Impact: While the Loud House/Casagrandes cast don’t have the biggest roles of the Errorverse, the key characters still make their moments count whenever they’re a part of things. While Puss in Boots and Kitty Softpaws have yet to actually make a known appearance in the Errorverse, it is thanks to them that AD!Luis is capable of speaking Spanish. Despite not appearing in person during The Forever Child: New Guest, Evo had shared knowledge of FC!Tinsley with Vivienne sometime before her research into his world.

Plug 'n' Play Prosthetics: Clide makes use of metallic technology as a binding material to keep his arm held together, due to a past encounter with a lion that mauled his elbow off, said technology able to be easily detached and reattached at will. This is enforced to allow Acceptable Breaks from Reality. However, while Clide does love the arm, that traumatic near-death experience will forever haunt him, hence why he hates the dark. In Darkest Measures’ sequel, Clide makes use of it to fix Evo’s broken shoulder joint, dislodged from Seak biting into it. Though, thanks to technical modifications Lily helped with, this shoulder prosthetic becomes a unique variation on this trope, able to connect different AI-assisted technology to help Evo with different endeavours.

Right for the Wrong Reasons: In contrast to ERR!SoniKiller's real counterpart, he isn't necessarily evil OR kind. He's just sadistic and misguided, believing all failed timelines should be destroyed. While it may sound like a good thing, he'd also destroy failed timelines where no-one is even suffering or are living their best lives. Not all of these timelines are subject to attack from him, but if they are, it’s really likely to leave a negative impact on anyone he provokes, Attempted Peace!Chris being a prime example. ERR does get taught a lesson a few times subsequently as punishment for this. It doesn’t help that he’s effectively one Sonic with a big prejudice against failed timelines.

Set Right What Once Went Wrong: As a result of Puhoi’s attempted apocalypse in Project: MCGAMEJOLTER.bin, Lost Hero!Benjamin decides to resort to having him and his allies use a Time Stone to warp back to around a couple of hours before the ritual’s events and not only prevent it from happening entirely, but also tying up any loose ends some of the warriors hadn’t yet resolved up to that point. This indeed works, throwing a massive Spanner in the Works of Puhoi’s endgame scheme, which he had no contingency plan in place to reverse. While not necessarily in the Errorverse, it's being counted to the fact Puhoi, now back to Audrey, is a character from the Errorverse. Audrey's soul is partially restored slowly upon being brought back in the Omegaverse. While his original goal was to lay that multiverse's Calteron to ruins, he slowly goes through changes as his soul slowly reverts him back to normal, leading to him putting a stop to Torment's scheme and stopping him from reverting him back to Puhoi. However, despite this change, he was no longer that innocent kid he was, suffering similar to Lean and maturing for the worst.

Several of the gags heard throughout the Errorverse are based on contributions to Retrovisity’s Saying a Lot of Things series of videos. The area of the OMEGA Universe that allows travel to other dimensions and universes harkens to the similar variant seen in Sonic Speed Simulator. During the Next Generation Arc of the Errorverse, during Movie Eggman's return, he was within the Palace where the history of all that happened in the Errorverse was about in an attempt to get into the Errorverse itself, but upon seeing that devils and demons existed there, he exclaimed "DIE DEVIL HUMAN!!".

Rage-Breaking Point: In the Lost Games alternate movie timeline, Nitro’s temper with Error_Code is quick to come to a head when the latter still refused to own up to his actions and repeatedly putting the blame on Neo, even when it could’ve been avoided. Once Brian discovers the harsh treatment of Region in Calteron’s secret facility, he personally shows up to give the staff there what for in retaliation once Vicky breaks the kid back out. During NE!Brian's saga, he reached his breaking point with Sakuron after his AI friend, Crissie, was near-destroyed. Going from the innocent, dorky and pacifist boy he was known as when he was just 10 to a vengeful, angered and wrathful person, attempting to make Sakuron's death as slow and painful as possible. Fortunately, Lilac’s intervention stopped him from crossing the Moral Event Horizon, as did the intervention of DE!Brian when he was close to killing Drack for presumably murdering Galvin. Lean, originally going to be with Richard's horror series, reached his breaking point during Puhoi's constant loop of murdering him and his friends, as well as torturing Brian just because he could. Having been broken from it, Lean broke character, changing from an innocent young boy to a kid with nothing to lose as he faced Puhoi head on. Sky herself reaches this upon witnessing the deaths of LH!Benjamin, Mulan, Spongebob and PLAYER in one timeline loop of Project: MCGAMEJOLTER.bin, turning into her Manifest form and easily overpowering Puhoi to reset the timeline again, aiming to ensure Puhoi’s plan well and truly backfires by EVERY mean necessary. Played for Laughs in Real World Chaos, where MCGamer loses it upon getting a Game Over (specifically a Time Over) in the Utopian Islands game.

Killed Off for Real: Sakuron is finally doomed for good in the finale of the second New Era saga, being left to die slowly and painfully in space by Brian and Drack. Corruptor is on the receiving end of this from April, who blasts him into space after curb-stomping him, which leaves the bloodthirsty warrior in space to die from a lack of oxygen. Jane ends up sacrificing herself to save Brian NE from potential death from lack of oxygen. Lord Brevon well and truly meets his demise at the end of Wrath of the Warlord, at the hands of Lilac, no less. He is revived via a cyberization process, but well and truly meets his end in Justice for Toons!. Mark Blacksmith suffers this, due to Bête Noire’s newfound power murdering him back in the real world. While it causes Abodant to undergo a Heroic BSoD, it’s enough to strengthen the resolve of his team members and friends to truly stop Betty in her tracks. Bête Noire finally receives this in the penultimate episode in the AR3Y N THE C1EF: Broken Identities storyline, being trapped in the void for her troubles and after her defeat against Frisk, Chara, Asriel and Amber together. Luis_PLAYER died for good in his decaying world in Underplayer 4, being permanently erased from existence and leaving PLAYER to take his mantle. The companions and allies of Mulan and Spongebob end up being killed off in some form by Puhoi’s servants, but the two heroes thankfully survive. The Enchanter’s constant acts to make previous heroes’ success against Puhoi, and by extension Luis_PLAYER’s sacrifice to stop him, All for Nothing leads him to this in the end, getting glitched to death by Protag in retaliation for the countless lives he attempted to wither. While he might’ve survived this, he is quickly TRULY killed off by Puhoi soon after as a blood sacrifice. Calteron Brian/Kyuzi’s ultimate fate at the end of the “He Who Destroys” arc, as he gives his life up to stop Puhoi from ripping the Errorverse apart.

Lighter and Softer: All parts of the Area 15 universe following Pericles’ demise are a lot more light-hearted, with Keyan and Crosby gladly getting a new life, and Ricc and Baston being on Denser and Wackier quests together. In contrast to a lot of the more serious stories, Welcoming Hope demonstrates the beginning of heartwarming and much welcome fresh starts to many who were either wronged, lost their timelines/universes to destruction or simply trying to keep away from failed timelines as a whole. Concerning the failed timelines, the Alone Together timeline is much less dark than quite a lot of the others, instead serving as more heartwarming with the group of five fixing things up and just biding life before their trip to the OMEGA Universe, but not before Nitro ensures the scientists who abused Luis_PL get Laser-Guided Karma for their actions. Likewise, the Multi Group timeline has nothing truly horrible happening, simply being gentle bonding experiences for each of the three sides involved. Christmas Festival, in light of it being the Errorverse’s Christmas Episode, is also this, simply depicting the cast happily enjoying the festive season. The Halloween Episode, Halloween Fanatics, also counts, since the main plot is simply different teams of characters in a friendly competition for a Rare Candy. The Next Generation arc is much less dark than the stories preceding it, due to depicting the heroes finally able to continue on with life without things being extremely threatening. Some of the stories in that arc avert this at points, however, such as Errorverse X Minecraft with the Master Player’s threatening role, yet even then, MPlayer’s not a deranged murderer. The Casual Stories sub-series is even more light-hearted, with the episodes instead depicting fun-sized adventures with different groups of characters, such as an alternate version of Sonic Drone Home in OMT!Tails’s world and an encounter with creepy-crawlies.

Screw Destiny: During a side-story of Darkest Measures, NE!Brian is forced to leave the Errorverse presumably for good for his safety, but this weighs heavily on the motivation of him AND Lilac. Wrath of the Warlord rectifies this, though, as one of Serpentine’s attacks ends up screwing this destiny over and breaking the boundary between them once more, giving them a chance to reunite and team up against Lord Brevon. During the early stages of the Omegaverse, OV!Brian is repeatedly told by the Master Creator that his course of action was not how things were to go, especially due to Pendle surviving and him not holding ANYTHING against Halsi as a result (even developing feelings for her). This had forced the entire timeline to be separated into a separate universe. However, he refuses to abide by the destiny that tore down the life of his predecessor, which leads to the Omegaverse being fully formed.

Ship Tease: Beefhan does this a couple of times, teasing couples or possibly-to-be couples with his “Double-Date Special” burger deal. He has been noted to do this around Neo and Christina in The Lost Games’ third season, as well as to Lone Guardian!Nitro and Nerila in Lone Guardian. BetaBrian does this to V_Reemah when asking her about V_Meldora, wondering if their bond is beyond simply just being buddies. She does admit to her feelings for V_Meldora shortly after, though, promising to tell her in the aftermath of The Lost Games. Extrasial does this towards Lilac and Spade after earning her forgiveness for unintentionally upsetting him, unaware that they were already partially dating before he teased them about it. Canon Sonic does this between Tails and Alicia following their confession to each other at the end of The Cursed Engine 2’s third part, even teasing them about it at the big moment. Tails does get Sonic back for it, of course. Chara and Amber get this between them on occasion during their time together in the AR3Y N THE C1EF: Broken Identities stories, finally confessing their feelings for one another during the series finale. In keeping with her nature of pranking others, Phoebe does a ship tease between Azura!Maria and Nitro in Nitro & Damien: Parallel Swap, despite the two having only met the previous evening. The pair do eventually start showing feelings for one another later on, though. There have been a few hints between MCGamer and IRL Lean, like the blushing he did in the ending of Corruption of Perfection, where he denies being friends with MCGamer, and his response when Tardy claims about MCGamer being his "BF". Though nothing big’s come out of it yet. Plus, IRL Lean, being the Tsundere he is (see the "Tropes T-Y" page), is quick to deny any such hints of affection, or even that he and MCGamer are friends.

She is gradually able to open up to others as the years go on, thanks to Chris/Nitro and his siblings bonding with her and giving her companionship. Tara was understandably shy around others after being brought to safety, even to the point of voluntarily choosing not to speak until his mother was found again. Compared to Nitro, Hefty (his D-Sides counterpart) is more resigned and less willing to bring attention to himself. Though thanks to D-Side Mighty and D-Side Honey, he’s been able to open up a bit more, though he remains shy around strangers. Following his freedom from Seak, Reak was understandably shy to speak initially, but warmed up to living with the Smiths in time.

She does come back during the crossover stories, though. Nicolas Smith, at the end of The Symbiote Apocalypse, ends up dying while distracting the symbiotes long enough to get them completely eradicated. Defected Conqueror!Nitro felt this was going to happen as a result of him redeeming himself at the last minute in his timeline of Executable Revamp, though he and his Amy avert this, surviving, albeit with a slight Age Lift. Subverted for BetaBrian, who doesn't actually die upon redeeming himself to save Neo from trauma and PTSD by making him forget everything that happened. Killing Intent: When Ben from Deception ends up coming to life thanks to the Ink of Life MCGamer had, the latter immediately gets ideas of killing him, which understandably unnerves the kid. Nitro and Amelia take their time in befriending him and helping him get accustomed to his new life, of course, while Evo and Wade have to stop Luis and Lean’s pesky attempts on Clone!Ben’s life in any manner. MCGamer is not okay with the idea of his Deception characters being in the Errorverse or Omegaverse, though LG!Nitro is quick to allow an exception for him. The newer MCStudio doesn’t have this, though.

My Future Self and Me: Nitro and Amelia have adult counterparts from a future they weren’t able to reach, who even have a daughter as a result of their marriage. The two versions even start crossing paths from The Cursed Engine 2 onwards.
