A Walk in Your Shoes is an Edutainment Show produced for Noggin. The premise is simple: take two people from completely different backgrounds and switch their lives for a day or two. The show was meant to help viewers learn about cultural, religious, and geographical differences. The show ran for six years, making it the longest-running Noggin original series. The third season, which aired during Noggin's nighttime block "The N," was allowed to take on more serious subjects than the first two. Over its run, A Walk in Your Shoes won many awards, including a Peabody Award in 2003.

Creator Cameo: One of the co-creators of Noggin, Tom Ascheim, is one of the "switchees" in the first season. A kid named Samantha gets to run Noggin for a day while Tom goes to school and gymnastics class.

Swapped Roles: The basic premise of the show has two people swap their roles. However, there were a few episodes that could only show "one-way switches" for logistical reasons: the blind episode, the wheelchair episode, and the deaf episode.

Company Cross References: In one episode, CBS weatherman Mark McEwen switches lives with a high schooler. This was possible because CBS and Noggin were part of the same company (Viacom).
