American Auto is an NBC Work Com centered around the employees of the fictional Detroit-based Payne Motors. The show was created by Justin Spitzer.Former pharmaceutical executive Katherine Hastings (Ana Gasteyer) is hired as the new CEO of Payne Motors after the last member of the Payne family retires.The show premiered on December 13, 2021 with two "sneak peek" episodes, before settling into its Tuesday time slot starting January 4, 2022. The 10-episode season concluded with the season finale airing on March 8, 2022.In May 2022, NBC renewed the show for a second season consisting of 13 episodes. The second season premiered on January 24, 2023. NBC cancelled the show in June 2023. | |
