Ultra Galaxy Fight: The Absolute Conspiracy / int_14beeefd | comment |
Darker and Edgier: New Generation Heroes was already dark to begin with. Absolute Conspiracy takes a step further. The first chapter has Ultraman Max and Ultraman Ribut being ambushed by Alien Sran and Hellberus inside Maga-Orochi's nest, Max is heavily outnumbered and is injected with Gudis' cells and Ribut is forced to retreat and report the incident to the Land of Light. Then, we also have Belial and Tregear's backstories and their consequent Start of Darkness, things would go downhill from there.

Book Ends: The first and final chapters of the miniseries involved Yullian being endangered in some form: first during Reugosite's attack on Planet Kanon and later her abduction by Tartarus in the final battle. Also relating to above, the miniseries started and ended with an Ultraseven-archetype Ultra being a Badass in Distress. Inverted, much like the previous Ultra Galaxy Fight, and in this case being a prequel to Ultraman Z, the miniseries ends with Zero and Z returning back to the Land of Light to give chase to Genegarg, leading to the events of the latter series' first episode.

Continuity Nod: Zero is seen using the Z Riser as his weapon. Since this is a series before episode 1 of Ultraman Z, Zero wielding this weapon was prior to Passing the Torch to his disciple by giving the Z Riser and 3 Ultra Medals while they were chasing Genegarg. The second chapter is told from different perspectives of both fallen Ultras, Belial and Tregear, prior to their Face–Heel Turn. Especially in the case of Belial, both him and Ken's suits reuse their younger appearances from the flashback scene of Mega Monster Battle: Ultra Galaxy Legends. Ultraman 80 recognizes Cosmos as the Ultra who helped Zero before.

In Spite of a Nail | |
Ultra Galaxy Fight: The Absolute Conspiracy / int_d243518d | comment |
In Spite of a Nail: Due to Tartarus's meddling with Belial and Tregear's pasts before their Start of Darknesses, several events in the past of the Alternate Timelines changes compared to the original timeline, but many key events stay the same regardless. Notably, despite never being corrupted by Rayblood and Grimdo, respectively, in these timelines, the two of them still become evil after accepting Tartarus' temptation into "changing their fates". As a result of him telepathically speaking to Belial, Belial decides to touch the Plasma Spark and is burned by it, but instead of being exiled from the Land of Light like in Mega Monster Battle: Ultra Galaxy Legends, he chooses to flee the planet himself. Tartarus then appears to show him the timeline of his path of becoming the evil Ultra he was in the main timeline. As a result, he decides to go with Tartarus to his dimension, instead of waiting for Rayblood to assimilate with him. While Tregear struggles with the fact that Hikari had fallen into darkness due to his grief over Planet Arb, Tartarus sends a Night Fang to torment him with its I Know What You Fear powers and keep Taro, who was with him, busy. Tartarus is then able to tempt Tregear into joining him as well, instead of unleashing Grimdo and sealing it within himself.
