Cael claims that wiping out humanity is necessary because the later species is inherently more evil than Celestials and that he'll turn Vyen into a paradise for his species. However, he's not only responsible for corrupting Lord Gwir into starting a world war to weaken humanity, he also takes sadistic pleasure in slaughtering humans, making it clear his claims of inherent morality are bull. He's also the only Celestial to hold these supremacist views and will mercilessly kill any of his own who oppose him while deriding them for being too weak for his standards. | |

He does try to use his influence to reduce casualties during Gwir's conquest of Vyen, but to no avail.
