Advertisement:propertag.cmd.push(function() { proper_display('tvtropes_mobile_ad_1'); })Crashocalypse is an RPG Maker game developed by Default/Refolde which was released in May 12th, 2018. It's a game based off the streams off one Mike Nnemonic. The game was done in RPG Maker 2000 and is based in a fictionalized version of Mike's streams. In the Northern Natto peninsula resides the almighty Twitch Tower. A Tower within Natto where people can reside if... If you're in The League that is. They would end up kicking people out, forcing them to make settlements and caps around the Tower. Within the mess of camps and settlements resided one group of people who made it home there. It's another Saturday which means another Mike Night. Mike Nnemonic and his gang were hanging out doing their usual when a boulder suddenly broke through the Shack rooftop. Mike and Hatter went to investigate it outside, only to be greeted by Fat Albert of the Radioactive Uber Clan. It seemed like a typical day, with him begging to get Bern killed and it falling flat in his face. This day was different as he brought a bunch of friends. Fat Albert sent the newly acquired army of his to attack Mike and company, causing some of Mike's followers to either get killed or be separated!Advertisement:propertag.cmd.push(function() { proper_display('tvtropes_mobile_ad_2'); })The RUC would use this as an opportunity to take over Twitch Towers and slowly cease Natto under the personal gain of "slaughtering demons for Truth and Justice". With Mike missing, it is up to Mike's followers to band together with Natto to stop the Radioactive Uber Clan. The game is separated into four scenarios: Soviet Steves, Berns, Glacks, and Mike's whom is unlocked after the other three are completed. In each scenario, there are various optional characters, either based off real users or in-universe characters one can obtain to help bolster their ranks to fight the RUC. The main battles are turn based while the War segments are Tactical Rock–Paper–Scissors where one must reduce the RU Cs forces to zero.

The Artifact: There have been some sidequests, features, and gags that appear only for one part of one scenario but eventually disappear. The Virgins that you can trade Fedora's to for Tips were apparently intended to appear beyond Steve's scenario until the creator thought it wasn't as funny as they hoped but didn't remove them from his scenario. They don't appear anywhere else.

comment
Four-Philosophy Ensemble: Each of the main scenario characters hold a specific philosophy together. The Cynic: Bern. She has some doubts whether they can truly get rid of the RUC once and for all and ends up feeling the most disgusted between the four over the RUC's atrocities. The Optimist: Glack. He sees the RUC conquering Natto as an opportunity to expand his cult and get more people to follow his cornpop religion through fighting the RUC. The Realist: Soviet Steve. Despite his quirky nature at times, he takes the RUC pretty seriously and is the most levelheaded of the four main character. The Apathetic: Mike. All he wants to do is relax and be at peace yet he got dragged into the RUC conflict for being the man Popeye wants to kill and overall lets others do the work for him.

Adaptational Villainy: Various cartoon characters in the Radioactive Uber Clan are typically seen as kindhearted souls or at the very least, goofy and heroic. Here? They're willing to enslave and kill thousands to "Clean the world of demons". Averted with Lady Tremaine and Jafar, though as they're the main antagonists of their respective Disney movie and the only difference being they're more unfiltered there.

Genre Deconstruction: One can argue the game can be seen as a deconstruction of fangames. The game for the persons community it was made for(Mike Nnemonic) clearly doesn't want to be a part of the action, the game not holding punches on the more toxic side of his fanbase with followers willing to give into the RUC's demands, and people lampshading how ridiculous the whole scenario is as a whole.

Bittersweet Ending: The RUC is finally defeated and due to their efforts in the war, Mike's community is allowed inside the Twitch Tower if they so choose. The RUC, even though they are later resurrected are reduced to being a Cosmic Plaything for life. However Natto is likely gonna take a long time to heal and is implied that the RUC's shadow will linger over as some people took their ideals. Many people have still died or have been permanently traumatized by the RU Cs actions, too.

What Happened to the Mouse?: The Street Sharks are one of the few RUC members who haven't defected or died but disappear from the plot after Glack's scenario. Similarly Pink Panther walks out on Albert in protest and unlike Garfield, doesn't return. The "Powerpuff girls" only appear in one scene but disappear shortly afterwards with their fate unknown. Gorillz was blown up into the air and hasn't been seen after Berns scenario. Similarly, minus one scene near the end of Glack's scenario, Mr. Jizz disappears from the plot after he is thrown into the lake.

Out-of-Character Moment: An obvious first sign that something is severely wrong with the RUC members. Being failed clones of the original Cartoon characters will explain a lot of their actions. Ascended Extra: A few chat regulars from Mike's streams go from merely background noise to a recruitable character.

Arc Villain: Each scenario deals with a specific RUC commander. Felix in Steve's scenario, Alberts in Berns scenario, Jabberjaws in Glack's scenario, and finally Popeye himself in Mike's Scenario.

Useless Protagonist: Played-With with Mike. He clearly doesn't want to take up the role of being a leader and tends to be lazy or stay out in the sidelines during certain situations while he lets the rest of the gang does everything but it is shown when he actually takes it serious and accepts his role as the leader, he can do it decently.

A Nazi by Any Other Name: In the actual streams, their in-universe lore borders on this. In the game, they're basically cartoonized nazis who despise being called such.

Big Bad Wannabe: Mr. Jizz in Steve's scenario, who wants to show the world the truth about the Illuminati and Lizardmen and Gorillz during Bern's scenario who wanted to become king of the Gamers to spread True Gaming around. They're mostly just distractions who are taken care of relatively quickly from the war against the RUC.

From Nobody to Nightmare: Basically how the plot happens: The RUC were violent before but they were usually incompetent or otherwise just plain weird and often seen as a best. Then one day they got a surge of power and basically caused destruction in their wake.

You Are in Command Now: While Glack and Steve volunteer to be the leader of their respective scenario, Bern and Mike are forced into the role. Bern due to Hugo dying and due to a straw pull, she became the leader and everyone in Mike's community insisting he should be the leader of the army to fight Popeye.

Fighter, Mage, Thief: Each of the main four scenarios do have mandatory party members that fulfill the three roles here. In Steve's scenario, Soviet Steve and Spot fill the roles of a fighter, Ambush Bug and Pyroblade fulfill the role of a mage, and Default fulfills the role of a thief. In Bern's scenario, Ira fulfills the role of a Fighter, both Bern and Fastrin are Mages, and Sankun is quite literally, the thief here. Glack's scenario is a bit harder here but Lizardman fulfills the fighter role, Glack is the mage role, and Odyro is the closest to a Thief role here. Averted with Mike's scenario since you got a majority of the party from the other three scenarios with you at this point, giving you a chance to customize the party to fit this trope to your desires.

Hopeless Boss Fight: During the beginning of Glack's scenario, Glack decides to have all of his followers attack Jabberjaw and the RUC after his church got destroyed. The result? A War segment where it's 6000 RUC troops versus 3 of Glacks Followers. You can tell how this ends and it is certainly not in Glacks favor...
