Disney's Extreme Skate Adventure is a Disney skateboarding game featuring characters from Toy Story, The Lion King and Tarzan, as well as several real-life kids (decided by a contest) as members of the Extreme Skate Crew. It was developed by Toys For Bob and published by Activision in 2003, just in time for the Platinum Edition release of The Lion King.Effectively just a Disney-fied version of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4, being built on the same engine and using the same gameplay mechanics. There's even an option to switch between "Basic" controls and the standard Tony Hawk "Pro" controls.The Disney segments vary in their content. The Tarzan levels contain a loose adaptation of the events of the film, with the player helping Tarzan's gorilla family as they encounter humans for the first time. The Toy Story levels have the player simply exploring Andy's Room and Pizza Planet before moving on to a sci-fi mission to Zurg's homeworld. Finally, The Lion King sees the player helping Simba's pride fend off the machinations of Scar. | |

Distressed Dude: In the Elephant Graveyard, Zazu gets captured by the hyenas and stuffed into a bone cage above the gorge of lava, and you have to rescue him by skating into his cage from a ramp (you, on the other hand, are just fine). In Andy's Room, Hamm is stuck on top of the toilet and is too afraid to climb down due to risking his change. You have to blow the toilet top off to get him down to safety. In the climax of Clayton's Ship, you have to rescue the many gorillas who've been captured by Clayton. | |

Go-Karting with Bowser: Many missions are given out by henchmen in the Tarzan and The Lion King. Neither Clayton's men or the hyenas ask you to do anything heinous, though one hyena at Scar's Canyon does ask you to beat back a swarm of Zazu's avian friends since he claims they won't leave him alone. In Olliewood, Hamish is the local bully, but he's too dumb to be truly malicious. Nonetheless, he challenges the player to a race and later can be seen skating around minding his own business as an NPC. Emperor Zurg can go skateboarding with his sworn enemy, Buzz Lightyear. Downplayed at the end of Scar's Canyon. Simba has to race his treacherous uncle Scar through the canyon, but it's treated as the Final Boss fight of the Lion King levels and seems to result in Scar's banishment. Before this, Scar gave out one 'SKATE' collection mission in the Elephant Graveyard. | |
