A three-part module for Neverwinter Nights, created by the Neverwinter Vault user Fallyn Rayne. As the title suggests, the module is tailored to the D&D classes who specialise in fighting and is epic in scope, taking the Player Character from level 1 to 19-21.The story starts in the Duchy of Devyn. The Player Character is the second daughter of the Duke, and tires of her sheltered life. She then runs away from home and an arranged marriage to learn how to fight like a gladiator. After graduating from the training academy, the Lady then finds herself trying to find fame as a female gladiator. But, her Call to Adventure came, and little did she realise just how epic her adventures were going to be...The module requires Neverwinter Nights with both expansions to play.Compare and contrast A Dance with Rogues, another class-centric module, but with a Darker and Edgier storyline compared to Gladiatrix.

Rape as Drama | |
Gladiatrix (Video Game) / int_12dd1d4c | comment |
Rape as Drama: More Attempted Rape. In Part I, as part of investigations, the Lady enters a bathhouse meant for male gladiators. If she chooses to stand her ground, she would have been gang-raped if not for external help. There are at least two instances where Braxton will force himself upon the Lady, if she doesn't successfully fight back. During Part III, the Lady must rescue a tribal chief's daughter from a clan of half-minotaur, which leads to her party also being captured. Either they must then watch the chief's daughter be violently gang raped, or the Lady can offer to be their victim instead so the chief's daughter will be spared. Later the Lady can also offer herself to the clan's leader, who will take her to his bedchamber and rape her. Worse still, it can result in her becoming pregnant. A background example in Part I - a student from the Saebra academy disappeared from a small nearby island about twenty years earlier. There is a rumour at the academy that she was captured and raped by an ogre, and died giving birth to its child. The Lady and Tessa never encounter the ogre when they are stranded on the island - but they do encounter a half-ogre wearing enchanted boots that are only given to students of the Saebra academy, thus proving that the story is true. During part two, the Lady has to infiltrate a magic school disguised as a student. The headmistress dislikes her from the start, and actually gives three male students permission to gang rape her, but they are stopped by the academy's headmaster... who then forces the Lady to come to his bedchamber so he can perform sexual acts on her himself (if she refuses, he kicks her out of the academy immediately and she fails to gain any information about the Scourge).

Multiple Endings | |
Gladiatrix (Video Game) / int_1aa08f77 | comment |
Multiple Endings Bittersweet Ending: The "good" but far less optimistic ending. The Lady remains loyal to the Shroud and all her friends, ultimately defeating the Scourge for good. However, society is still plagued with crime and strife. She and her companions are reduced to a life of petty mercenary work, and soon hostility arises between the kingdoms who sided with the Scourge and those who opposed it, threatening to erupt into a devastating world war. Surprisingly Happy Ending: The "evil", but much more hopeful ending. The Lady betrays the Shroud and her allies, leading the Scourge to victory. Most of the kingdoms quickly swear allegiance to the new order, creating a new realm of peace and prosperity, and any signs of rebellion or resistance are quickly and brutally put down. Her former friends in the Shroud try to have her killed, but the assassin fails and is publicly executed, after which no one dares make any attempt on her life. She is made the ruler of Waycross, and becomes the symbol of a new age. Downer Ending: The Lady can choose abandon her quest to stay in the enchanted forest paradise of Shangri-la with Landon and Tessa. Life is blissfully carefree, but she quickly becomes bored and restless. A few months later, they see the smoke of burning towns on the horizon across the sea, and realize that the onslaught of darkness will eventually reach the forest, and even its guardians won't be able to protect them. They know that the end is near, but vow not to go down without a fight.

Stay in the Kitchen: The Lady was rebelling against this trope. Even the captain of her father's guard recognises that while she has a talent for combat, her father would never allow her to practise it.

Throwing the Fight | |
Gladiatrix (Video Game) / int_ba112560 | comment |
Throwing the Fight: The Lady can do this in many fights, but it will usually cost her (both gold and exp). Exceptions are the fight against a princess (more gold for throwing) and the deathmatches (death if she threw the match). There is one match where she can refuse to fight outright (against starved animals, which meant that it was a deathmatch).

Gladiatrix (Video Game) / int_c289826f | comment |
Double Standard Rape: Female on Male: This module is particularly notable for it. The Lady can avoid most rape situations (though some, notably Braxton, have your only "choice" be whether the sex will be consensual or not), but there are a few instances where male characters are assaulted by females, and they're always Played for Laughs. In particular, in the "Ladies Section" of the nightclub in Part II, a male poet is assaulted by a gaggle of rich women who aren't interested in his poetry.

You Can't Go Home Again: Inverted. At the start of Part II, the Lady muses about how she missed her family, but cannot bring herself to forgive them for the Arranged Marriage after she defeated her would-be fiance, who was a member of the Scourge. Potentially averted in one ending - if the Lady sides with the Scourge, she gets a chance to reconcile with her father, and visits Devyn again after the end to reunite with her mother.
