Gourmet Sentai Barayaro (or Gurume Sentai Barayaro) is a 1995 Beat 'em Up game for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, developed by Winds and published by Virgin Interactive Entertainment. It's quite possibly the most weird and surreal one of the bunch from the mid-'90s back when the genre was at its peak.Set in a technologically-advanced future suffering from a food shortage, a crime syndicate led by the villainous "Bath" have stolen the world's supply of protein, and it's up to three laboratory-bred heroes - Bonjour, Mademoiselle, and Trés Bien - to save the day. With the trio spending the entire game beating up tofu-headed aliens, playboy bunnies, shapeshifting female mutants, tiny people, and a Baron Samedi-lookalike before confronting Bath, and along the way collect varieties of ingredients for them to make dinner with at the end of each stage. The game would later be re-released by Piko Interactive in 2018, with an official English translation coming out one year later in 2019 under the title of Gourmet Warriors.

Voluntary Shapeshifting: The Final Boss, "Bath", repeatedly switches his forms around. While his default form at least resembles a humanoid figure, from there he can transform into a giant floating eye, half a tornado, or even a living cage which he uses to trap and squash you if you're caught.

Gourmet Warriors (Video Game) / int_3a9f9136 | comment |
Harmless Enemy: The "Oh Damn!" enemies (yes), a giant tofu-headed humanoid, is incapable of fighting back (well, now you know where he gets his name...) and is slow as heck, where he's nothing but a punching bag for your character to collect points from beating up. "Oh damn!" does explode after his health is spent, the proximity of the blast being capable of hurting the players slightly, but it's still easily avoidable.

Gourmet Warriors (Video Game) / int_8f1ec2c5 | comment |
Joke Character: Most of the secret characters are worthless. Jerk, Mr. Phlegm, and Acolyte's only attack is a Suicide Attack. You only have one life in this game. Oh Damn is slow and can't attack at all. Hand Knife and Appliance have only one attack and die in one hit. Appliance's one attack isn't even any good. Swimmer can only move by hopping, making him very awkward to control. Piko Piko would've been one of the better secret characters if it weren't for her poor recovery rate. If she's knocked down, she's as good as dead.
