Lego Knights' Kingdom is a 2004 Action-Adventure video game developed by Razorback Developments and published by THQ, that is based on the LEGO Theme of the same name. It was released on the Game Boy Advance. In the Medieval European Fantasy kingdom of Morcia, an order of knights watch over and protect the kingdom's provinces, currently overseen by King Mathias. These knights follow a code of honor that dates back to ancient times. However, after a young man called Jayko passes the trials necessary to be knighted by the King, the Shadow Knights of the King's Obviously Evil advisor, Lord Vladek, attack the kingdom and capture the King. When Vladek hosts a tournament where the winner shall be crowned king and confirms that he himself will compete, Sir Jayko and three other honorable knights — Sir Santis, Sir Rascus, and Sir Danju — pledge to find their King and return him to the throne, investigating his disappearance, uncovering Vladek's plans to take over the kingdom using the Black Magic contained within the Book of Morcia, and journeying into the wild Moorlands in search of the Heart of the Magical Shield of Ages, the only shield that can stand against Vladek's powers.

A Winner Is You: The game ends with a single cutscene of the protagonists being thanked by King Mathias, and Lord Vladek being banished from the kingdom and swearing revenge. Cue the credits!

Obviously Evil: Lord Vladek tries to pass himself off as a Faux Affably Evil Bitch in Sheep's Clothing before he begins his plan to conquer Morcia, but he doesn't do a particularly good job at it because he wears red and black armor, as do his Shadow Knights. Unfortunately, King Mathias is a Horrible Judge of Character.

Adaptational Dumbass: In the toyline, King Mathias suspected that Lord Vladek had ambitions to take the throne for himself, and appointed him as his advisor so that he could keep a closer eye on him. Granted, King Mathias' plan didn't work out, but this game includes no such information, and it seems he appointed the knight in red and black armor as his advisor because he genuinely believed he was trustworthy.

Top-Down View: The game's perspective is this. It's also an Action-Adventure game, obviously taking cues from games like the 2D entries in The Legend of Zelda.

Horrible Judge of Character: King Mathias. His most trusted advisor is Lord Vladek, who betrays him in his plot to become the new king. As noted above, this is a case of Adaptational Dumbass. Sir Danju, who doesn't suspect Lord Vladek until it's too late.
