Mago is a 2D Retraux-style Platform Game that was developed by Dream Potion and Hype train. It has mechs, penguins, dragons, and bosses galore. The story is as follows: One day, an evil overlord named Gourmet decides to kidnap Banani, the girlfriend of a sorcerer named Pepe, to use her as an ingredient in his hamburger. Of course, Pepe doesn't want that, so he sets off on a quest to save her by platforming through various different themed worlds. The game is a Puzzle Platformer with some Run-and-Gun elements that features you having to use your wand to stun enemies, and purify malicious objects so they temporarily won't hurt you. The world map is similar to Gargoyle's Quest, in that you can move across it from a Three-Quarters View, coming across towns and enemies that upon touched, launch you in a sequence where you have to defeat a whole bunch of enemies in exchange for a large amount the game's currency. Not to be confused with Mr. Magoo or Mägo de Oz. | |
