Monochrome Mobius: Rights and Wrongs Forgotten is a turn-based RPG released by Aquaplus for PC (2022) and both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 (2023). It is a direct prequel to Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception and focuses on the story of Oshtor and his rise to humble country beginnings to being named Imperial Guard of the Right while encountering other characters and witnessing many events that lead into Mask of Deception.The story begins with Oshtor meditating on Mount Tabari when he's requested by the owlo of Ennakamuy to investigate some unusual disturbances with livestock being killed and crops being stolen. He soon encounters a young girl who is being pursued by soldiers in unknown uniforms. But, even more surprising, the girl named Shunya also informs Oshtor that his long-dead father, Pashpakur, is really alive and that she is his sister! In order to solve the mystery and learn the truth of his father, Oshtor joins Shunya in order to seek out and solve the mystery of the forbidden land of Arva Shulan, where Shunya was born, and soon finds himself learning of many of Yamato's deepest secrets in the process.Beware unmarked spoilers for Mask of Deception. |
