Faux Action Girl: Momiji unfortunately doesn't have a good showing in Dragon Sword - she demonstrates some skill as a ninja but loses handily to the first big fiend she encounters and spends most of the game as a tortured captive of the Black Spider Clan. Thankfully she gets to be a full-blown Action Girl in Sigma 2. And by the time of Ninja Gaiden III, she spends a whole level fighting alongside Ryu almost as an equal.

Omnicidal Maniac: The Dark Dragon in Dragon Sword, according to Nicchae, would've annihilated both humans AND fiends had Ryu not destroyed it soon after its birth.
