1000xRESIST is an adventure game developed by Sunset Visitor, a Vancouver-based studio, and published by Fellow Traveller. The game was announced on September 20, 2022, released on May 9, 2024, for PC and Nintendo Switch. The game's official reveal trailer is here, and its official website is here.1000xRESIST focuses on a sisterhood of clones that has copied itself a thousand years past an alien invasion and the extinction of modern society; although the aliens, known as "Occupants", were not hostile, they had brought pestilence with them. The main protagonist is named "Watcher" due to her primary duty in the sisterhood: to preserve and relive the memories of their progenitor, the ALLMOTHER (formerly known as Iris, the sole survivor of the alien attack), so that the sisterhood can continue. However, a rumor among the sisterhood soon leads to a devastating truth: someone has been tampering with their history. It is now Watcher's duty to get to the heart of the matter, and decide which is the better course of action: to keep her sisterhood alive... or to burn it all to the ground.

Starfish Aliens: The Occupants think differently enough from humans that true mutual comprehension is almost impossible. Their attempts to speak English tend to sound more like abstract poetry than a conversation.

After the End: The story takes place one thousand years after aliens invaded Earth and all of humanity, save for a Sole Survivor that's now seemingly immortal and a society of her clones, perished.

The Immune: Iris is the sole human that is immune to the illness spread by the Occupants; even the sisterhood, consisting of her genetic clones, need to wear protection in their own compound to survive.

Future Slang: A number of new phrases have entered common usage, grown out of ALLMOTHER worship. Interestingly, there is some in-universe debate about exactly what the terms are supposed to have meant originally, versus how they're used now.

Unreliable Expositor: The lack of context in Iris' memories makes it easy for things implied in one of them to be seemingly contradicted by others, confounding attempts to clearly classify everything. Not helped by the revelation that the Ancient Sister has tampered with some of them to cast her in an even worse light.
