Pokemon Enigma is a fangame created with the Pokemon Essentials engine in RPG Maker XP. It stars a young boy or girl starting their grand Pokemon Adventure through the Tiall Region, a mountainous peninsula region with many small islands surrounding it, helping the eccentric Professor Maple by filling the Pokedex, all while clearing the Gyms and eventually the Pokemon League, as per the standard Pokemon formula. However, one thing that sets Enigma apart from other fangames is its large, diverse cast, with plenty of side quests to give said cast time in the limelight. Each character has their own story, lore and plot relevance, and specializes in each different Type of Pokemon. Most notably, each of these characters are eccentric, but good at their profession. The story is also fueled by a prime antagonist, the villainous Team Quartz, an organization specializing in Rock-type Pokemon that strive to "reshape the world."Even after clearing the game's main story, the player has access to three post game stories, each with their own set of characters, and even incorporating characters from the main story as well as from past Pokemon works. These stories each have their own Pokedex and, when combined with the main story's dex, adds up to every Pokemon introduced up until Scarlet and Violet being obtainable, meaning in order for players to 100% the game, they're gonna be there for a while. The game is still under heavy construction, as such, some of these may be subject to change.

Curb-Stomp Battle: Against Neville, Olwen's cousin and heir to the title of Kinley Mountain's Shepherd. He uses small Ice-types, such as Snorunt and Swinub. The issue? You fight him AFTER you become Champion.

Central Theme: This game has two that sort of tie in with each other. The first is Lovecraftian themes, what with the game's box legend, Azathend, and some events in the plot. The second is the concept of loss and grief, as well as growing up, which is a primary motive for the antagonist.

And I Must Scream

comment
And I Must Scream: Happens on two occasions. The first happens to Gaia, the main antagonist. After biting off more she can chew with Azathend's power in the game's climax and spewing some wishful thinking while gloating, Azathend sends her to a plain white realm (think the all-white dimension from SB-129) where she can never age and die for the rest of her days. The only ones in that realm are herself and her Pokemon. The second time happens to Prisma, the big bad of the Mitologia arc. After being backstabbed by Lyselle, her subordinate, she's frozen atop the cold mountain by Kyurem under Lyselle's command, posed as if she were screaming and reaching out for help, to spend the rest of her days.
