Police Quest 3: The Kindred is the third game in the Police Quest series. The game was written by Jim Walls with production by Guruka Singh-Khalsa. The game was directed by Mark Crowe. It was released by Sierra for the PC (via MS-DOS) and the Amiga.It takes place in 1991, 3 years after the events of Police Quest 2: The Vengeance where Sonny Bonds was promoted to Sergeant in the Lytton Police Department. But one day, Bonds was tasked to work with uniformed officers in patrol due to staffing problems. While on duty, Bonds was dispatched on check on an incident at the local mall. He finds out that his wife, Marie Wilkins (now Marie Bonds) was wounded in a stabbing incident, but was later in a coma. Bonds gets back to Homicide and investigate the attack with a few other murders to find out that a cult is responsible for it, which is also in the drug dealing business as well.This game is the last in the series to feature Sonny Bonds, although he appears in the SWAT series as a secondary character. The next game, Police Quest 4: Open Season, takes places in Los Angeles with another protagonist. | |
