Project Nimbus is a single-player high-speed mecha action game with many shout-outs to other mecha anime and video games series such as Armored Core, Gundam, and Ace Combat. It was developed by Thai-based indie group GameCrafterTeam, published internationally by KISS Ltd and by GameTomo in Japan. It was funded on Kickstarter and spent some time in Steam Early Access, before releasing for PC on 26th September 2017.In far future, Earth's surface is devastated. Usage of solar nuclear warheads forced the population to build flying cities in order to survive. New superpowers emerge, the Coalition of Free Nations and United Continental Nations, continuing to conduct skirmishes over scarce resources on the surface using next-generation humanoid aerial war machines called BattleFrames against each other, unaware that those who were left behind are running out of patience...Its PlayStation 4 version, named Project Nimbus: Code Mirai, was announced in 20th September 2017, aiming to provide more polish to the graphics and gameplay. Later in 17 November 2018, RISE MIRAI DLC is announced, aiming to add the story that is still lagging behind PC version and new endless game-mode called Warfront. This version is being developed by Active Gaming Media and Quadra Entertainment. And later, Complete Edition was released on Nintendo Switch on 16th May 2019, while Code Mirai launched on September 3rd, 2019.A sequel, named Nimbus Infinity is announced to be under development in 9th May 2018. It is initially released for a Steam Early Access in February 16, 2022, and is released on June 22, 2023.Project Nimbus contains examples of: | |
