The Last Of These Is Not Like The Others: Two cases through the Freeplay songs: Copyright Mario is the only opponent that doesn't fight Boyfriend, instead facing an unknown person whose face we never see due to the song "Unlicensed" taking place from their point-of-view. The Dancing Guy faced in "Camera" is the only opponent to not be a version of Mario.

A.I. Is a Crapshoot | |
Purgatory Powerdown (Video Game) / int_420c50b7 | comment |
A.I. Is a Crapshoot: According to its profile in The Booklet, Copyright Mario is an A.I. created by Nintendo for the purpose of apprehending hackers and anyone else owning/distributing unlicensed Nintendo games. However, it's stated to have "gotten out of control" and "have some victims", implying that it has dealt with bootleggers by killing them, which is not what Nintendo intended.

Purgatory Powerdown (Video Game) / int_6adf60d1 | comment |
Hidden Eyes: Tormented Mario, Jump.ERR and Copyrighted Mario all have shadows covering their eyes. Out of the three of them, Jump.ERR's eyes are the only ones to always be hidden, as Tormented Mario's right eye can be seen in his up pose while Copyrighted Mario's eye visibly glow red through the shadow.

Purgatory Powerdown (Video Game) / int_7a143509 | comment |
Shell-Shocked Veteran: Jump.ERR is a version of Mario who had to serve in the army and go to war, and his time in said war left him traumatized with a severe case of PTSD. Still affected by the trauma he experienced, Jump.ERR attacks anyone he believes to be working for the Kong Mafia, unaware that he may be harming innocents.

And I Must Scream: Tormented Mario. He went down the wrong warp pipe, and now he's trapped within a single block with no way out. Upon closer inspection of the hole in his cap, he also appears to be balding, meaning he's likely been trapped for decades.
