Sky Kid is a side-scrolling flight shooting arcade game from The Golden Age of Video Games developed and published by Namco and released to arcades in 1985. It was the first Namco game to offer two-player co-op.Advertisement:propertag.cmd.push(function() { proper_display('tvtropes_mobile_ad_1'); })In the game the players take the role of the titular Sky Kids, Red Baron and Blue Max. In each level they must fly in their biplanes to bomb assigned targets in every mission. Since their planes don't have a bomb, they must be sure to pick up a bomb on their way to each target. Along the way they must dodge a flurry of bullets from ground and air targets. They also must fly the plane to avoid obstacles while flying over inhospitable terrain and cities.Originally released to Japanese arcades, the game later received a home port for Nintendo Entertainment System worldwide.

Easter Egg: Apart from the character appearances on the billboards, shooting the girls that appear dancing at the end of every stage will cause them to turn into pink powder puffs and dogs. Looping around them makes them blow out hearts.

Company Cameo: Sometimes if the player does a loop-de-loop around a billboard, one of four Namco characters will appear, Pac-Man or Inky from Pac-Man, the Special Flag fromRally-X, or Pooka from Dig Dug.
