Star Wars Eclipse is an upcoming video game by Quantic Dream and a tie-in to Lucasfilm's Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project, seemingly closer to the events of The Phantom Menace than other works in the series. In an effort that appears to be a departure from Quantic Dream's usual formula, the title is said to be much more action-driven than anything that the studio has worked on before.Advertisement:propertag.cmd.push(function() { proper_display('tvtropes_mobile_ad_1'); })In a story set decades before the time of the Skywalkers, many seemingly-unconnected paths align as a galaxy that's enjoyed a long period of peace is beginning to move towards war once again, as the Force falls out of balance. Players will explore the lives of a variety of characters across all walks of life, as their every action can change the course of history.Previews: 2021 Game Awards Announcement Trailer

Take It to the Bridge: The trailer shows two Jedi sparring on a bridge against, what is either a beautiful sunset or a gorgeous sunrise.

Call-Forward: Several in the first trailer to later Star Wars works. Yoda can be seen looking out the tower of the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. A protocol droid appears, and it has a face that looks similar to C-3PO's. The Lucrehulks first seen in The Phantom Menace are revealed here to have been in use decades before the Naboo Crisis, as the unconventionally-designed warships appear to be functionally identical to the ones seen in that movie. Various religious groups that were seen on Jedha in Rogue One have followers that appear in the streets of a crowded city.
