Sunday X Magazine: Nettou! Dream Nine is a Baseball simulator developed by Pawapuro Productions and published in 2009 by Konami for the Nintendo DS. It is a spinoff of the Power Pro-kun Pocket series made to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Weekly Shnen Sunday and Weekly Shnen Magazine manga magazines by publishers Kodansha and Shogakukan. The game features characters from a good number of series such as Major, Ore wa Captain, Diamond no Ace, Dreams and Kyojin no Hoshi. Even non-Baseball manga series such as Osomatsu-kun, Case Closed and Hajime no Ippo are included. The game does not feature any Success Visual Novel scenarios, but you can unlock a Story mode after clearing the Stadium tournament mode for the first time. This mode plays key scenes from each manga and then drops you into an ongoing match to clear certain tasks.See Sunday VS Magazine: Shuuketsu! Choujou Daikessen for the Fighting Game crossover between action shounen characters from both magazines and Shnen Sunday & Shnen Magazine White Comic for the RPG crossover between Weekly Shonen Sunday and Weekly Shonen Magazine properties.

Limit Break: You have a special gauge with three levels. You can use it to perform super pitches or powerful swings that vary per character. Strangely, the actual Pawapoke games would only adopt a variation of this mechanic for the final game in the series two years later.

You All Look Familiar: Averted, surprisingly enough. Everyone has their own 3D model and even the miniature Pawapuro-kun sprites for distant players seem unique for everyone.

Art Shift: Series-wise, the characters are not depicted as Pawapuro-kuns when they're up close. They still change to 2D chibi sprites when seen from overhead scenes, though.

Damn You, Muscle Memory!: The game is running on the Pawapoke 11-12 engine, but there are a few differences in gameplay. You can't throw slow balls or do focused swings as those are now limited to special moves.
