The Blueballs Incident (also called The Trollge Files) is a Friday Night Funkin' mod created by Malicious Bunny and EZHALT. The mod takes heavy influences from the Trollge memes/incidents, a revival of the Trollface meme to turn it into a horrifying eldritch being.Your opponent this time is an unnamed "Troll individual", who seems to have gone into a depression due to doing... something to someone. Now he just wants to be left alone, but Boyfriend is as rap-happy as always, and quickly causes things to escalate beyond the point of insanity. Describing any further would reach spoiler territory, however, so it's best played before you continue any further.Malicious Bunny has two videos connected to the mod's lore, showcasing how the Trollges became the way they are. Respectively, these are "The first Trollge incident" and "How to Trollge your best friend"The mod can be downloaded on GameBanana here.Has nothing to do with The Blue Shell Incident.Song ListTutorial:Philophobia (Girlfriend)StorySadness (Smiler)Rage (Smiler)Incident (Smiler)Redemption (Smiler)Pteromerhanophobia (Stairway)Paedophobia (The Happy Clown)Technophobia (Smiler)Glossophobia (Exhalted)Dystychiphobia (Derpy)Thanatophobia (Trollge Girlfriend)My Dear Love (Trollge Girlfriend)Athazagoraphobia (Legion)Bonus大好 (Girlfriend)Your Mom (Trallface)

Arc Symbol: In the opening starting up the week, there's a note informing a certain Agent Blueballs (actually Boyfriend) to deal with the troll individual, a red eye over a red cross on the bottom left can be seen, reminiscent of IRIS’ symbol from Vs Hex Mod. It also appears in Pteromerhanophobia, as an image of it drawn in what looks like red chalk on a black background flashes on the occasion, notably ending on it. Exactly what this means for the mod's lore at the moment is a mystery.

Darker and Edgier: The original Trollface is one of the internet's most famous memes, and thus has nothing in terms of plot or meaning. This mod, on the other hand, features a depressed and unsettling version of the character that feels remorse over his Cold-Blooded Torture of Derp, goes insane trying to get Boyfriend to leave him alone, and is actually a downright Humanoid Abomination that escaped from an SCP Foundation-esque area made to contain anomalous "Troll incidents". Even the songs are considerably slower and more somber, with the exception of “Incident, which ups the pace a little, but is still much more reserved than what most players are familiar with. And we haven't even begun talking about Stairway!

Adaptational Villainy: Boyfriend seems to be this, instigating a rap battle with Smiler despite his wanting to be left alone and driving him to the point of insanity. Once the real plot is revealed at the end, however, this is revealed to not be the case; Boyfriend is an agent for the Troll Containment Foundation sent to recapture a dangerous "Troll individual". This also goes for "Trollface" thanks to the fact that this game takes heavy influences from the "Trollge" incidents. Both of them.

Mythology Gag: While most of the Trollges in the mod are original creations, Stairway is based on the one that started them all, the "Stairway to Heaven" incident. "Troll Physics #3333333333" is based on "Troll Physics", a series of Rage Comics where Trollface uses Insane Troll Logic to create impossible contraptions (and the format later used by most Trollge memes), right down to the Running Gag of using magnets to speed up tasks.

Wham Shot: At the end of Rage, Smiler finally snaps for real, dropping his axe as the music swells before clutching his head as the voices finally take over for "Incident". In the cutscene after "Incident" in the 2.0 update, a photograph shown onscreen reveals that Derpina is Smiler's daughter and went missing after what he had done to Derp. Pteromerhanophobia has its own when, halfway into the song, Boyfriend is somehow transported out into the devastated New York City. After a brief while zoomed in on Boyfriend, the camera zooms out to reveal Stairway flying through the air as the music speeds up. Several abound at the start of "Thanatophobia": Girlfriend is revealed to have been transformed into a Trollge entity by Legion. Boyfriend screaming in absolute terror at the above, all with a Slasher Smile indicating he has well and truly snapped. The song itself opens with Boyfriend's Face Framed in Shadow, but then his head snaps back, revealing piercing red and blue eyes. After Legion successfully assimilates all of Earth, he meets face-to-face with an uncannily realistic Trollface, assumed by some to be the Trollface from Case #0000.

Adaptation Distillation: Depending on the Writer, the Stairway to Heaven Incident (or Heaven's Stairway incident in this mod) was instigated by either a single Trollge that realized skin is already oily, multiple Trollges that fell to New York and covered the citizens in oil, a slew of anomalous activity that reached a boiling point, or by nothing in particular as it heralds The End of the World as We Know It. Here, the simplest interpretation of a single Trollge pulling the strings is used, but with the added simplification that he simply put the oil-like substance in New York's water supply.

Meaningful Background Event: In the latter half of "Incident", one can see the events of MaliciousBunny's second Trollge video, where Smiler tortures Derp into being "happy". As also seen in the video's ending, this was the "Smiler" incident that the Troll of the same name you're singing against was involved in. During Pteromerhanophobia, you can get a nice view of New York City outside a window as darkness and rain clouds storm over it. Those familiar with Trollge lore will recognize this as the Stairway to Heaven incident, an event that causes an inevitable minor Apocalypse How. And you're fighting the cause.

Meaningful Name: All of the antagonists, save for Trallface, have songs named after various phobias. Stairway's is "Pterohermanophobia", or a fear of flying - a fear he likely caused in a number of victims during the Heaven's Stairway Incident. The Happy Clown's is "Paedophobia," or a fear of children. According to his case file, this is an inverted case compared to the other Trollges, as he claims to have been protecting several children from an evil he claims is inherently present in adults. Of course, the children don't exactly agree with this opinion, as whatever JJ had been doing had garnered immense fear in the children. When he's fought again under Legion's control, Smiler's song is "Technophobia", or a fear of new technology. His Trollge form's primary method of murder is through Mind Rape with television screens, and he carries one throughout the entirety of "Technophobia". Exhalted's is "Glossophobia", another term for extreme social anxiety. Fitting for a man that hid away from society post-transformation. Derpy's is "Dystychiphobia", or a fear of accidents. While not much is known about Derpy so far, it is known that he Was Once a Man, so this could be a clue that whatever happened to him wasn't intentional. Even Girlfriend gets in on this, with the song "Thanatophobia", or a fear of death. Legion's is "Athazagoraphobia", or a fear of being forgotten. Humorously, the Tutorial replacement is called "Philophobia", or a fear of love.

Adaptational Badass: Boyfriend actually gets hit with this. Going from a singing college dropout in the main game to a singing anomaly-hunting agent! Thanks to his connection to the Trollge memes, Trollface goes from a harmless prankster to a hostile, reality-bending species of monsters that commit various atrocities. Based on the note seen at the start of the mod, Derpina has gone from a fittingly-named fool and occasional victim of Trollge to the head of the Troll Containment Foundation dedicated to containing instances.

Adaptational Nice Guy: Funnily enough, Smiler is hit with both this and Adaptational Villainy (seen below), depending on what origin you focus on. In MaliciousBunny's Trollge videos, Smiler remorselessly tortures Derp into "happiness" for the sake of what he sees as a practical joke. In this mod, however, Smiler wasn't in control of himself and deeply regrets what he did.

Non-Standard Game Over: Dying in any of the first 4 songs results in a cutscene of the voices in Smiler's head demanding he "wake up" and promising a chance to see "her" again. Dying in "Pteromerhanophobia" shows the text "COVER YOURSELF IN OIL", followed by footage of someone flying through a rainy city in first-person. Dying in "Paedophobia" simply shows heavily red-tinted footage of someone walking through a forest. Dying in "Technophobia" results in Boyfriend being subjected to the same fate as Derp, sitting in front of a TV with a Trollge-like grin on his face. Dying in "Glossophobia" has Exhalted give Boyfriend a few motivational words, telling him not to be reckless before asking to go again. Dying in "Dystychiphobia" gives a cutscene detailing Derpy's origin, showing that he was transformed into what he is now in an incident with Stairway. Dying in "Your Mom" has three possible cutscenes, in which Trallface flushes himself down a toilet, floats in space while an extremely loud acapela remix of the 20th Century Fox theme plays in the background, or spinning at slow speed in a T-Pose, accompanied by trippy background visuals.
