The New World is an upcoming turn-based Science Fiction cRPG developed by Iron Tower Studio, known for The Age of Decadence. Inspired by Robert A. Heinlein's Orphans of the Sky, the game takes place in an extremely massive generation ship called Starfarer, heading to a far away planet called Proxima Centauri for colonization purposes. The ship's government disbanded following a violent mutiny, resulting in the rise of three main factions: the Protectors of the Mission, the Brotherhood of Liberty, and the Church of the Elect. To make things more complicated, some minor factions have emerged as well. The player character has been born in the ship, never feeling the sun's warmth, and likely will die on the ship long before it reaches its destination. The goal is to, ultimately, make the best of your current existence by treading through the treacherous path among the other passengers, and the contending factions that strive to dominate the Starfarer. The combat is turn-based, like the developers' previous game, with more focus on ranged combat thanks to the setting. Along the way, you will be able to recruit companions, each with their own goals and agendas.

The New World (Video Game) / int_3aec9e5e | comment |
Properly Paranoid: Garrett subscribes to the philosophy of 'shoot first and ask later,' thanks to being double-crossed at the age of 14. As far as he's concerned, everyone is a backstabber. Considering the mess the ship is in, he has a point. Evans himself is a rather paranoid gunfighter, with it being one of the reasons why he's still alive.
