Vs FNAF is a series of Game Mods for Friday Night Funkin' made by Pouria SFMs that features the animatronics of Five Nights at Freddy's as opponents, each mod being based on specific games in the series. The general plot of each mod, if there's any, is as follows: Boyfriend finds himself in the respective Fazbear location late at night, with him inevitably facing off against the resident animatronics in a rap/singing battle. The following mods are:

Darker and Edgier: In contrast to the other two Vs. FNaF mods before it, 3 is much more serious and dark in tone and story. The first two songs of the main "Week" are of the events that set in motion FNAF 3, with Afton tearing apart the animatronics and getting into the Spring Bonnie suit, subsequently showing off his gruesome spring-lock death in action. On the FNF side of things, Boyfriend's experiencing some newfound angst due to Girlfriend formally breaking up with him in the timeline prior, making him less of a Fearless Fool in response to the tense situation he finds himself in. The only exception is the bonus songs, which are just as wacky — if not moreso — than prior mods.

The Cameo: At different points throughout, Shadow Freddy will appear in the background of BF's various rap battles with the animatronics, sometimes out of view like behind GF's speakers in "Terrorizing". Shadow Freddy eventually gets his own song "Backroom", doubling as a Chekhov's Gunman. "Power Outage" features Springtrap lying against the wall at the back behind BF, mostly out of frame.

comment
Stylistic Suck: "Freddy Fartbear" is a deliberate amateur song with poor assets and charting that only does a token effort at properly syncing to the vocals. Three-fourth's of the way into it even parodies the Turns Red trope among mods, where Splinks Freddy turns angry enough to "become Satan" and follow up with a ridiculous amount of note-spam, with the vocals appropriately taking a nose-dive as well. To top it all off, the song ends with the game "crashing" — Splinks Freddy being stuck on a hold note as screen slightly fades to white with an application not responding popup in the upper left corner. The cover of "Welcome (Old)", a song that's infamously known for its low quality, is appropriately low effort here as well, with un-tuned Vs. FNaF 1 Freddy vocals and low quality assets to complement it.

Early-Installment Weirdness: The first week was initially a standalone week for Freddy himself, which shows in the many ways it contrasts to the rest of the mod. In terms of tone, Freddy Fazbear is portrayed like an actual haunted animatronic, even as he's encountered in the typical FNF Rhythm Game manner. Later weeks shift the tone lighter, Denser and Wackier: giving the others some characterization beyond being haunted, and by the time Freddy is encountered in Week C, he's less haunted and wanting blood, and more-so done with BF's presence. This is the only week with a dialogue segment, even if just for the introduction. There are no One-Hit Kill mechanics in this week.

One-Hit Kill: Every animatronic besides Freddy and Golden Freddy have this during their week, and "The Happiest Day" also features them: Week B’s "Shut The Door" has door notes that must be hit to stop Bonnie from coming into the office. "One More Bite" has Chica kill you if you don’t have enough pizza slices when she goes to eat them, as well as the cupcake notes that must be evaded. Notably, Chica’s mechanics do not appear in "The Happiest Day". "Walk The Plank" has sword notes that must be hit for BF to evade Foxy’s sword, and "Lost At Sea" has Foxy shoot his ship’s cannon, prefaced with a warning to hold SPACE to dodge. Cover Version: "Let Us In", "Slaughter" and "Dead Inside", which served as Freddy's songs in the original release of the mod, are based on The Living Tombstone's FNAF songs. "Let Us In" is based on The Living Tombstone's FNAF 1 song, "Slaughter" is based on The Living Tombstone's FNAF 2 song "It's Been So Long", and "Dead Inside" (Or as it was originally called, "Fired"), is based on The Living Tombstone's FNAF: Sister Location song "I Can't Fix You". Foxy's second song "Walk The Plank" is a remixed FNF cover of DAGames' FNAF 3 song "It's Time To Die", just with Foxy and BF singing the vocals.

Joke Level: Three of the songs available in Freeplay are less songs, or even levels for that matter, but simply Stylistic Suck jokes originating from memes. "Beatbox" is a rip of Abdul Cisse (who's the opponent here) singing a rapid-fire low-quality beatbox version of the Five Night's At Freddy's Song by The Living Tombstone. You don't get any inputs for the song, either. "Freddy Assbear" is BF rap battling against Freddy Fazbear... while he periodically twerks like the giga-chad meme. "Freddy Fazballs" consists of Freddy Fazbear dipping his balls in the McDonald's soda dispenser, to the protest of the Cashier, with him defending his actions by proclaiming America a free country, one he fought for in the war.

Bait-and-Switch Boss: For the first week at least (Week F), you expect to fight Freddy all the way through his week, but before the third song "Broken Inside", he collapses on the floor and his yellow-colored counterpart Golden Freddy, takes his place for the song.

At different points throughout, Shadow Freddy will appear in the background of BF's various rap battles with the animatronics, sometimes out of view like behind GF's speakers in "Terrorizing". Shadow Freddy eventually gets his own song "Backroom", doubling as a Chekhov's Gunman.

Tragic Monster: Withered Freddy in particular seems to be portrayed in this manner, what with his song titled "Fallen Star" having instances of Sad Battle Music with its use of a solo violin. Downplayed, as he himself isn't portrayed as particularly tragic throughout the whole mod, outside his comment of "Don't see me as a big teddy bear now", which could simply be a threat.

"Freddy Fartbear" is a deliberate amateur song with poor assets and charting that only does a token effort at properly syncing to the vocals.

Composite Character: Shadow Bonnie in canon is an entity ambiguous relevance with seemingly no direct connection to the main plot or Toy Bonnie, what they appear to be based on. In the mod, they manifest from Toy Bonnie halfway through his song, being fought as an extension of the animatronic.

Boss Remix: "Your Old Friends", along with pitting Boyfriend against the Withered Animatronics one more time, brings along the leitmotifs from each of their songs. Withered Bonnie's segment uses "Faceless"'s leitmotifs, Withered Chica brings her song melody from "Broken Jaws", Withered Foxy throws out his "Pirate's Curse" melodies, and Withered Freddy uses a faster version of the leitmotifs from "Fallen Star".
