The player follows the titular character Parsnip Bunner on his quest to acquire ingredients with which to bake a cake for breakfast. As he has no time to visit the shops on this particular day, he must consult his neighbors for help. Along the way, the player may discover that things aren't as idealistic in the neighborhood as they may first appear to be.The game may be downloaded for free here. Parsnip was followed up with a paid-for sequel some months later titled The Testimony Of Trixie Glimmer Smith, which can be found here, and takes on the style of a Visual Novel while maintaining many of the themes found in the original. Not to mention them actually getting kidnapped, arguably made even worse given the fact that the abductor isn't the one you were suspicious of all this time. | |

The sequel reveals that at least part of the source of this is her job as an art teacher for kindergartners. | |

Ambiguous Disorder: While Parsnip's bubbly personality at first seems to simply be in line with the hand-drawn, picture book-esque art style of the game, interaction with other characters quickly reveals that Parsnip is... Different. While no mention of mental health is made in the game at least, not by any of the characters, Parsnip's overtly childish behavior and perception of the world becomes ever-more apparent the more progress is made. | |
