Taking a trip back into the medium of animation after their failed attempt in the 80s, the Madballs struck with another attempt in the 2010s. With a revival to the toyline, the Madballs were back in full force, and had the content to back it up.Instead of going by direct to video like the prior attempt, this Madballs series instead supplemented itself with web animation. Releasing on the official YouTube channel for the brand, this iteration of the franchise would back itself up by giving each episode a specific theme, such as sports or school, and then have the Madballs, this iteration made up of Screamin' Meemie, Oculus Orbus, Slobulus, Skull Face, Horn Head, and Dust Brain, interact with these themes in their own twisted ways. The channel would also be supplemented by live action skits and prank video demonstrations.The toyline iteration of this series would see a very weird life. Two series would release for this brand, with a third series planned but cancelled. Despite this, a multitude of characters were designed for this era, the characters would get toys in Sonic kid's meals, the brand would crossover with Need for Speed, and merchandise prints for this era would continue long after the ending of the toyline.The 2010s iteration of Madballs contains examples of: | |
