Downer Ending: After Todd calls him out for his complete incompetence as a Pokémon trainer, Ralphie decides to focus on something he's actually good at: killing people. So he shoves Red off the roof of his skyscraper (which Red somehow survives) before he's finally arrested and sent to prison, where he's been telling his story to another inmate, who helps Ralphie finally realize what a monumental asshole he was. But just as he decides to turn his life around, he's unceremoniously killed by Peanut Butter as he busts Rusty out. There's also no indication that Todd won't be stuck as a Blob Monster. However, Ralphie's death could be averted after Peanut Butter eventually undoes all the damage he causes, making this more of a Bittersweet Ending. Also possibly averted: considering Ralphie is a psychopath and murderer, even if he does recognize that in the end, it's arguably good that he is killed at the end of the series. |
