British Home Entertainment was an Analog Horror series created by "Igiroitsu" that parodies Gemini Home Entertainment and other popular analog horror series. Much like in Gemini, the videos are presented in the form of short guides and documentaries but instead feature the United Kingdom as the main setting. The series riffs on British stereotypes, culture and history while still keeping the elements of horror.The videos in this series include: "Squall Survival Guidancee", which parodies Gemini's "Storm Safety Tips" and is quite shorter. "Artificial Intelligence Schooling", which parodies "Artificial Computer Learning". "London's Prominent Landmarks" which seems to parallel Gemini's "Our Solar System" "Irish Potato Disease" it's version of Gemini's "Deep Root Disease". "Campsite Information Tape" is a parody of Gemini's "Camp Information Video". "The United Kingdom's Otherworldly Creatures" is a parody of Gemini's "World's Weirdest Animals". "Mandenshire Catalogue Vol. 1" a parody of The Mandela Catalogue Vol. 1 "WINSTONOBSERVER" a parody of "LIBERTYLURKER" and "LINCOLNLOOKER" from THE MONUMENT MYTHOS. "Games For Brits" goes back to Gemini with a parody of "Games for Kids". "ITV 58 Forecast Service" is a parody of ＬＯＣＡＬ５８'s "Weather Service". "Slumber Facsimile Percipient" a parody of "Sleep Image Visualizer"On November 2nd, 2023, Igiroitsu uploaded a video titled "End," in which they confirmed that "British Home Entertainment" has come to an end due to losing interest in riffing on UK politics and the lowering prevalence of Analog Horror as a genre. The channel has begun the process of re-branding into an effects-testing ground, though videos under the "BHE" banner will remain up as an archive.The series can be watched here. | |
