Twitch Plays Pokémon (TPP) is a social experiment in which commands representing buttons on an original Game Boy (up, down, left, right, A, B, start, and select) are entered into a chat on Twitch, and then translated into a romhack of Pokémon Red via an IRC bot. In short, over 10,000 people are fighting over a controller. Throughout its life, Twitch Plays Pokémon has spawned hilarious characters, memorable moments, and even a religion.Twitch Plays Pokémon Randomized Platinum, the third run of "Season 3", takes the mob back to Sinnoh, a region they'd only visited once previously, but with the most twisted randomizer yet. Now, stats and even Pokémon's types are randomized.See also here for the archived progress of the game, here for the archived status of the run, or here for live updates, which have been archived here. There is also a recap page, found here.

Anyone Can Die: Even when compared to the bloodbaths in the past, the sheer number of times that the Mob has lost their team to the PC is staggering. It's estimated that in the first three days the mob had boxed their entire team a grand total of three-five times. Disney Death: However, there were very few outright releases, even with one intentional release in democracy.

Revolving Door Casting: Through the first four days, only one Pokémon has managed to stay on the team for 24 hours straight, and that was a fairly underleveled Pokémon that rarely actually got any experience (Bronzor, captured late on Day 2 and stayed in the party until early Day 4.) May have finally settled down as there were no further deposits on Day 4 after Bronzor left the team.

Wiki Vandal: No, really. This run had such an amount of trolls in it that, in an argument over when Drifloon evolved, a part of the chat ended up vandalizing the Bulbapedia page on Drifloon over what exact level it needed to reach to evolve and under what condition. It got so bad that a Bulbapedia admin had to come on and lock said page from editing by anyone outside of admins and mods.

World of Chaos: As per-usual for randomized runs. Some say that it's the result of OLDEN drawing the voices into its realm, in a last ditch effort to stop them before they can end it once and for all.

All for Nothing: The Mob decides to fly to Solaceon Town in Democracy to deposit Plusle in the Day Care Center and withdraw Shellder from the PC in the process. All this is done to evolve Shellder by Water Stone. After a long search through the bag (still in democracy) the Water Stone is successfully used to evolve Shellder into Hippowdon - just to deposit the new Pokémon in the PC and withdraw Plusle again. So Shellder was evolved for nothing.

Obvious Rule Patch: PP got himself stuck in a Leaf Trap, which requires blowing into the DS's microphone to escape, so after manually removing him, a "blow" command was added. Less than an hour later, the command was changed to "mic". A few hours after that, the Explorer Kit, Vs. Recorder, and Pal Pad were outright disabled and the new command was removed entirely.

History Repeats: Once again, the mob caught a Shinx. Once again, it hasn't evolved because of B trolls. On at least two occasions, the Explorer Kit was accidentally registered to the Y button. Causing PP to constantly warp to the Underground, which was difficult to exit, being unable to spend any significant length of time anywhere else. Eventually Revo had to intervene by removing the item from the inventory. Sound familiar? When PP got to Hearthome City, the Mob decided to talk to Bebe to get the "Eevee". It ended up being a Sandslash. This made him the third randomizer protagonist to receive a Sandslash from an NPC...out of a possible three, since Pokémon received from NPCs weren't randomized in Alpha Sapphire.

One-Steve Limit: Averted. Both Byron and Volkner's names have been randomized to "Jo", while both Jupiter and Saturn's names were randomized to "Wayne" while Mars was randomized to "Forrest", same as Gardenia. Each of these names along with a bunch of others (including most of the other Gym Leaders and Elite Four members) also appear multiple times on random trainers.
