Always Someone Better: Sonic, who serves as The Rival for Mario, is pretty much this as any of Mario's attempts to jump him usually just result in Sonic evading it, even when he tried to have Luigi sneak him during a mediation session. And overall, he's just a living Berserk Button to Mario.

Uninvited to the Party: A pair of Heartless from Kingdom Hearts are subject to this, being barred from entering a party to celebrate Sora getting into Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Their response is to go to Mario and Luigi who show sympathy for the duo, as the former to jokingly suggests calling the cops on the party... Only for the Heartless to immediately accept the suggestion, much to the Bros.' alarm.

Even Evil Has Standards: Not so much as evil as more Adaptational Jerkass Anti-Hero, but Mario and Luigi are quick to show sympathy for a pair of Heartless who were rejected from Sora's Smash Bros. party, noting that even they would invite minor enemies like Koopas and such to their own party... And then the Heartless are quick to jump to Mario's joke suggestion of calling the cops on Sora's party with the Bros. quickly disapproving of it. Though the Bros. don't care that much to stop them.

Curb-Stomp Battle: Thanks to Mortal Kombat 1 introducing tag-team attacks with the new Kameos, both Ryu and Balrog as well as Kazuya and Jin stand no chance against Sub-Zero with Scorpion as his Kameo assist, with poor Kazuya unable to tag in (or rather switch in) Jin thanks to how Tekken Tag Tournament's mechanics work, even going to the Z-axis to take advantage of his own mechanics don't work as Scorpion just blindsides him there. And then Frieza, Vegeta, and Cell show up representing Dragon Ball Fighter Z, instantly curbstomping Sub-Zero thanks to their game's massively faster-paced action letting them basically blitz and jump the ninja.

Butt-Monkey: Usually, the portrayal of some of the characters here can become this: Master Chief usually ends up being jumped or verbally roasted by Mario and Luigi throughout the series, and apparently is a No-Respect Guy to the point he has to pay Raid: Shadow Legends to sponsor Halo Infinite for money. Sora is one, usually on the receiving end of a verbal roast from the others, and being on the wrong end of one of Mario's beatdowns in the fourth episode. Mario, despite being an Adaptational Jerkass, usually ends up getting these as well, as he got shot by Master Chief in the second episode, as revenge for him and Luigi jumping him in the first episode, got jumped by Wario and Waluigi in the bathroom, and got shot by a cop who assumed he had a weapon in the third episode.

Culture Clash: Due to the various differing natures of every video game, expect this to come into play. Examples include Link smashing a pot that Kairi gave Sora, CJ's typical Grand Theft Auto criminal actions (Such as stealing a much better car) unnerving Master Chief, or Ezio assassinating someone instantly startling Sora, Link, and Master Chief. And in particular in the fourth episode, Sub-Zero and Scorpion trying to kill each other is immediately met with startled horror from the other house members who try to stop the fight, but to no avail as Scorpion kills Sub-Zero with a Fatality.

Police Brutality: Mario and Luigi are subject to this in the third episode as a cop pulls them over while they're on their way to a Mario Kart race. While talking to the cop, Mario confesses that while he and Luigi have no guns, they have a banana in the car, which the cop treats as a lethal weapon... Which eventually culminates in the cop shooting Mario to death when he tries to reach for a banana license. Thankfully Video-Game Lives are in play for Mario, who retaliates alongside Luigi by delivering one of their typical No-Holds-Barred Beatdown on the officer.

Adaptational Jerkass: Several of the characters end up becoming this, mostly for the sake of comedy. Notable examples include: Mario and Luigi are VERY prone to violence over a simple altercation. Such as when Mario declared he and Luigi would jump anyone in the house over having his gloves stolen, and when the two jumped and beat up a pizza delivery guy who forgot to give them mushrooms on their pizza. Link sums it up best in the third episode. Master Chief, who's very unafraid of just shooting someone should they piss him off sufficiently such as the Mario Bros. Sora ends up becoming this after the release of Kingdom Hearts III, becoming a lot more egotistical than his kind-hearted canon counterpart.

Big "SHUT UP!": Courtesy of Mario in Video Game House 2, right before he and Luigi deliver a No-Holds-Barred Beatdown on Master Chief for the latter shooting them both.

Screw This, I'm Outta Here: A few of these happen throughout the series, usually as an Oh, Crap! response: Link, Sora, and Master Chief pull one of these in response to seeing Ezio assassinate someone while eavesdropping on the lattermost. In the second episode, Link is QUICK to flee upon seeing Master Chief pull up a gun on Mario. Ezio meanwhile just silently walks out of the room. In the sixth episode, whenever Shadow shows up with his gun, expect everyone to flee.

Crossover: The sixth episode has Vegeta and Frieza from Anime House, along with Cell, show up to represent Dragon Ball Fighter Z and to simply show off their power to all the fighting game characters, in particular Sub-Zero who's immediately jumped by the trio.

Malicious Misnaming: Master Chief, after being attacked by the Mario Bros. in the first episode, proceeds to usually call them the "Mario Hoes" whenever he talks about them on a few occasions.

Cranky Landlord: Steve, who's revealed to have built the Video Game House in Episode 6, basically acts as the landlord, and doesn't take falling short on rent lightly. If anyone comes up short on payment, even a little, he's immediately liquidating an asset in the house (As in mining it with his pickaxe) unless someone else pays more to make up for it.

Video-Game Lives: Mario and Luigi both have these, usually allowing them to come back to life after being killed by someone. Though judging from Mario's dialogue about Luigi's last life after Ezio performs a hit and run on Luigi in the first episode, they do have to restock on these every now and then.
