Dragon is a furry Webcomic by written and animated by Australian furry artist Lizard Soup (with ambient music by Somnibear)Guy McCoy is the sole inhabitant of Dragonfly research space station orbiting high above the Earth. One morning, he is awoken by the station's AI alerting him that the gravitational centrifuge has broken down and needs repair... again. This invariably leads to an incredible series of events for everyone involved.While there can be some suggestive imagery (the comic is definitely 18+), and Guy spends a lot of time in a bathrobe and briefs, Dragon falls squarely in wholesome, cozy territory... except when it does not, but yet not in the "unwholesome" "uncozy" ways you'd immediately expect of a furry web comic, bringing the entire experience full circle.The unique draw of Dragon comes from its initial presentation in a faux-visual novel style as if you, the reader (or perhaps the characters themselves) interact with world as if it's an old point and click adventure. However, it has since grown beyond merely imitating visual novels into a unique style of narrative on its own.Lizard Soup has stated that the best way to experience the comic is through its regular updates on the platform formerly known as Twitter (link to the index of Twitter posts) However, Dragon is also published on Tumblr. In addition to this, Lizard Soup has compiled each chapter separately as Youtube videos that one can use to binge through the entire comic so far, which at the time of this writing would take only a couple of hours. | |
