Netherworld Chronicles is a fanmade Disgaea sprite comic by DeviantArt user Firewarrior 117. It takes place after the events of Disgaea 3, and centers around the adventures of Unlucky Everydude hero Almaz von Almandine Adamant, who once again finds himself in the spotlight after unwittingly receiving the main character title and triggering war as a number of other former protagonists — and side characters as well — scrabble to claim the title from him.Advertisement:propertag.cmd.push(function() { proper_display('tvtropes_content_3'); })However, becoming the unwilling recipient of the main character position is only the beginning of Almaz's troubles. In the midst of fighting over the title, another far greater danger arises in the form of a feared and prophesized figure known as the Overlord of the Abyss returning to the Netherworld. With time working against him and only a handful of reluctant (if not outright impossible) allies to aid him, it's up to Almaz and his Ragtag Bunch of Misfits to stop the apocalypse and return the title to its rightful owner.Disgaea NC is host to a blended cast of canon and original characters; while canon primarily dominates the main storyline, the original cast takes over as the central focus in the 'Post-Game' plot after the main events of the comic, which brings more of their personalities and antics to light.Advertisement:propertag.cmd.push(function() { proper_display('tvtropes_content_2'); }) | |
